OOC: General question about that trap: how come it never seems to target the enemies, even if they stepped on the trap trigger? Are we just unluckly placed, or does the trap not target the enemies. I just assumed, based on the type of trap, it would target who ever was in the way of the darts, not specific people. Also, I can't see the trap description from work (firewall is blocking it), so sorry if its clear by the description.

I had Wyrmguard Scout 1 marked with my AoS. So, I will use my interrupt to prevent 8 damage to Riardon and grant myself 3 THP, which get used when the horde attacks (I may have already had 3 THP, but it doesn't really matter). Net result:

Riardon starts turn at: 23 HP
Gensai starts turn at: 51 HP

Gensai closed his eyes, and in an instant, he teleported next to Rujah. "Die," he whispered, lashing out with his blade in a circle. The metal seemed turn into a ghost as it passed through Rujah harmlessly. As he resheathed his blade, the kobold horde obliged his request, falling to the floor in a bloody heap.

"Drop the other one."

GM: The trap targets the closest 4 creatures. Keep in mind that the darts originate from a different square than the triggering mechanism. The trap fires during the enemy turn, when I choose, but I've been picking the targets at the time the trap is triggered. The location has been consistent, believe it or not. Unfortunately, the kobolds have 2 up on you:

1. They have a bonus to defenses against traps
2. They live here, so they know how the trap was built, so they have been able to make sure they're out of the way when the trap is triggered.

The stat block allows you to use a standard action to find the location of the dart holes (Perception DC 22)

OOC: Poor luck indeed. Well, thanks for the info. I'm just worried about this trap killing poor Mervin. One more question: is it safe to presume if we drop the kobold in the square that it won't trigger again, since the trigger is "on enter"?

FYI, I updated my stat block. For some reason, in my haste to post, I thought I could shift 1 as a minor action at will. :p So, no end-of-turn shift for me.

Do I still need to take Rujah's turn? I think he should act before Fenwick, since his has good positioning now, and would be best to move out of Fenwick's way if he can't drop the Kobold.

GM: You are correct. Creatures must enter the square in order to trigger the trap.

BTW: Until we hear from Theroc, I'll assume you've got Rujah covered.

"Grrraaaaaoooooorrr!" the dragonborn cried as he slammed his warhammer into the Wyrmguard's head, crushing it. Ignoring his injures, the Warden moved down the hallway, chasing after the last enemy.

"Well done, Master Rujah!" Gensai encouraged. "Spread out, in case it hurls more lightning at us!"

OOC: Nice round for Gensai and Rujah, so both enemies in the room are down.

EB, I would move the sphere to O40 if you can. The last enemy is probably hiding at N40. But, try not to die from that OG damage!

The last enemy has 1 more use of the burst 1 dragon clash power, so make sure you end your turn to limit the advantage of this power. Right now, Rujah is at O36 and in a good spot. But Gensai is at O29 and Riardon is at O31. So, if mervin and fenwick stay where they are, the enemy will have a number of 3 target options.

OOC: I've never been clear on the rules for spotting hidden enemies. Do I just make a perception roll? It would be nice to be able to charge this last little guy
