    Fan-made material impossible until 2009?

Oh, I don't think that I would remain civil if WotC got mad at me for posting additional material before 2009. I also doubt very much that they would object. I may be wrong here, but I thought that most of the stuff on this forum (or others) was not published under the OGL because they didn't...

Have "cross-class" skill deliniations finally been removed?

I have seen no indication that they are gone, but I can hope. More often than not, I found them completely illogical in that many of them (Spot, Listen, Heal, most of the atheltic skills, etc) didn't have much to do with the classes. Why does a pickpocket have an easier time learning to play...

So... is anyone else coming around?

I'm mixed, and have always been mixed. My first reaction was primarily negative: "Is it really time yet? Even if they pull something pretty nifty, they could have waited another couple years." This changed as they started talking about the mechanical weaknesses of 3E: things that I had...

D&D 4E NPC classes? How are non-classed characters working in 4e?

Good question. I don't think that we have seen anything that directly addresses this. I wouldn't be all that surprised if we leave NPC classes behind entirely. It isn't a big jump to go from "monsters aren't built like characters and don't follow the same rules" to "NPC's aren't built like...

Three char level 8 group - How would you do it?

Unless the wizard knocks. For that matter, he could disintegrate it, which has the same general effect but takes a higher-level slot than he/she has available at eighth level, but looks cooler.

    D&D 3E/3.5 4e Crunch, 3e Flavor

Planescape has a fair number of fansm so WotC may produce a planescape book, although I doubt that we will see it as an officially supported campaign setting with it's own supplements again. Failing that, someone may get a planescape license. It has enough of a fan base to make it interesting...

    Most powerful feat ever?

Oh, that's not obscure on the WotC optimization boards. I don't know how much it is still used (especially if Silver Marches is a 3.0 book; I don't recall if it is), but it was standard issue in most optimized archer builds. They could be pretty broken, too. It wasn't really that ability that...

Shift grip as a free action?

It can certainly be explained that way, flavorfully. In 2E it was official: one attack represents about one minute of parrying and maneuvering. You can explain almost anything with this style of flavor text, though. Well, when you transfer your weapon to your shield hand, you have to keep...

Shift grip as a free action?

Pick up a stick and swing it at someone. Actually, you should probably swing it at a tree, or some other inanimate object that you won't get in trouble for whacking. Now walk 30 feet. Did it take longer to take one swipe with a stick or walk 30 feet? In D&D, you can replace the swipe with 30...

    Good prestige Classes for Druids?

I've heard that the Moonwalker (RoE, I think) is very good, although you must be a shifter. You lose four levels of wildshaping (but maintain full spellcasting and, I think, animal companion progression), but get a lot of useful abilities while shifting, along with several spells: invisibility...

    Having trouble locating two feats

I thought that I saw a feat that allowed you to do this. I want to say that it was in an FR book (Orc/Half-Orc racial?), but I can't find it. I may be thinking of Might Makes Right, which allows you to use strength for the purposes of leadership. In the case that it isn't a real feat, you...

Shift grip as a free action?

I allow players to release their grip with one hand, or grab the weapon again, as a free action. Shifting hands, however, is not. This doesn't make using two-handed weapons such a trivial choice. You can't take this action on other people's turns, so you get to choose to either be armed or...

    Speaking of healing belt...

OHMYGOD! There's a PrC in Magic of Faerun that allows you to make potions out of spells higher than the normal cap! I'm totally banning Sending, even if it limited to 25 words. Can anyone think of good spells to put into potions (other than sending) that break the normal limit of 3rd level...

    Speaking of healing belt...

I was about to call "broken" until I read the bit about it failing if he gets too far away from himself. It's a good thing that the designers put in that limitation. Who wouldn't want a potion that allows them to talk to themselves? It's almost as good as the ability to talk to small...

    Most powerful feat ever?

IIRC Greenbound Summoning cannot be applied to elementals because the "Greenbound" template doesn't apply to elementals. I would place Rashemi Elemental Summoning higher after level 11, perhaps level 13. By level 17, it is way ahead. However, neither of those two feats should exist.
