    Effective Character Level...

    Best answer i can see is write it for maybe a tough fight for the 2nd level character, if the 10th level hero is helping him it is really 'helping' have him mop up large quantites of mobs while you control the fight in relation to you lvl2 avoiding him/her being over run. No idea of the story...

    Tips for a party without a fighter

    One of you characters probally the druid should consider going full time tank down the line as it really will help, its not just a crappy thing you see in mmos you do want healer and tank and some dps. I'd just worry that in unexpected fights you won't have the summoned creatures out or later...

    Can a cleric with spontaneous heal take the destruction domain?

    If you want an actual good god/neutral with the domain you'll have to hunt hard sure there must be one but who knows? but maybe with Conplentative you might be able to blag taking it :) otherwise yea cool idea for a domain/feat combo.

    Unarmed Combat Alternatives - No Monks.

    There is the monk/rogue hybrid Ninja (complete adventurer) so yes the GM might be grumpy about the unarmored wisdom bonus and ther ki abilites likeness to a monk's but otherwise its one or two feats away from being a very nice unarmed master :) just an idea.

    I posted on my early ideas for this character so thanks to all who commented my character is now nearing some level of completion but i still have many nagging feelings in the back of my mind. Key: My job as a level 5 toon will be to be off healer and maybe be primary party rogue as well...

    Vampire PC in Ravenloft...help?

    DR is ok at low levels. But just to be clear Ravenloft is and can be a power gamer's death because you just fall asleep, wander into mist or generally get screwed in many wonderful ways... and a vampire... so many nice things to do them over :) if he goes super evil remeber the 'your now a lord...

    Also in Stormwrack there were rules for spells to allow planes travel with ships, actually a level 9 spell Planar Navigation to be exact and a nice set of rules for general sea travel to complement the Faerun rules.

    Um at this point your main problem is overpowered players to rebalance i'd agree level loss is a bad idea as it just defeats the point but magic item destruction upon death is always a bonus but still they are dead :( So another trick forgive me setting up the idea in detail its a habbit for me...

    Ok so put them in a dungeon. Or better still on another plane(this is always funny with a forced teleport, screw choice, it all goes dark.... etc) where anyone can fly, screw with them with an antimagic plane (might be too much....) or god help them shift the whole thing to Ravenloft...
