    Cloud of Knives kills minions?

SadisticFishing has already said he's using his own definition for something (ruling an Attack Power synonymous to an Attack) because it's the only one that makes sense to him. There's nothing to be debated here. It's called "house ruling". If that's the way he wants to roll, and his group...

    Devil's advocate

Both true. However, a melee ranger can be just as effective in dealing damage with a bow as an archery ranger, but also gains a unique class ability. And hit points are hit points, so you could argue that the Defensive Mobility feat of archery is no more useful than Toughness, meaning (aside...

    Devil's advocate

Yes, indeed it does. Keywords from weapons/implements/powers/exploits all merge together as the rules currently stand.

    Invisible Gel Cube...

That is SUCH an evil idea. I like it. ;) Just be careful to have the enemy spellcaster obey all the same restrictions as the party and you have a very fun, very memorable encounter designed there.

    Sonic Fireball and Silence

In our campaign we allow sonic to be used as a substituted energy type ONLY because Silence cancels sonic damage completely and is a level 2 spell. If you allow energy subsitution: sonic and DO NOT allow Silence to counter it, then sonic damage is just plain overpowered in my groups collective...

    The Best Bow...

Ok, I'll play the role of the non-munchkin in this thread and make the following suggestion: Build a bow that fits the character. Trust me, it's a lot more fun to have something that's just plain "cool" than a "+5 uber bow of everything destruction". Good "flavorful" enchantments: Seeker...

    Can Druids use "Great Clubs"?

It's been stated multiple times by the designers that the weapon restrictions on a druid are for flavor only... not balance. So a DM should feel free to rule zero them without much fear of causing unbalance.

    Underpowered

That Remove Fatigue spell is a GREAT idea. I'd probably make it an orison for all clerics (1st level for Pallys) in my campaign (about the same power level as detect magic in my opinion)., but thanks a ton for the idea! Great for roleplaying and general use. Hope you don't mind if I gank it. :)

    Why do humanoids get screwed

Considering most campaigns are humanoid-centric, the regular charm person spells make the most sense to me. Of course, if this isn't the case in yours then of course you should feel free to change it.

    Familiars question

Er... they grant feats, can deliver touch attacks, and (in many cases) can act as a scout. That's quite a bit considering how powerful most of the classes that gain them are already. ;)

    Playing a Ranger

We use 28 point buy in our campaign for attributes. My current (human) ranger of 6 levels: Attributes: Str: 14 Dex: 14 Con: 12 Int: 14 Wis: 15 Chr: 8 Skill ranks: Hide 9 Move Silently 9 Listen 9 Spot 9 Wilderness Lore 9 Search 9 Knowledge (nature) 5 Knowledge (geography) 2 He uses a cloak...

    Adamantine and DR

From the Monster Manual: So there you have it. The only ways a creature takes normal damage are energy, spells, spell-like abilities, supernatural abilities, magic weapons, or creatures with their own damage reduction. Period. Rule 0 it if you want to, but it seems pretty clear there to me.

    Animated Dead Bodies

Yes, you could use the spell in such a fashion.

    Dirty Fighting Feat...worth it?

In *theory* it could be useful if you have a fairly low attack bonus and can only reliably hit with your first attack, are using a low damage weapon, and/or have no appreciable strength bonus to your damage. In practice? It's pretty much useless. :)

    The TPK curse

Uh... What was your party thinking? Seriously. 2 Ghouls and a Ghast against a 2nd level party? They either A) deserved to die for being stupid enough to attack such foes or B) should be mad at you for giving them some kind of notion that they could realistically win the fight. The rest of...
