Proposed Wager with DracoSuave - Blurred Step

I agree with your statement that they answer how the rules. However I would like to point out that in the Daggermaster situation you point out it is very obvious to me that is not what was intended where i believe that blurred step is working as intended. but I also think that RAW < RAI so YMMV

Proposed Wager with DracoSuave - Blurred Step

I think Draco is right. I seen 5 emails go to WOTC CS about blurred step and i have have 5 phone calls to them as a players and as TO/DM for their official games and the answer has always been the same. It works as intended and this is how it works: For any move you must pick your path one...

    Adent Champion. Rules lawyers required

The term automatic hit is a term in the PHB. The part in Precision is just a reminder of the automatic hit rules. No where does Holy Ardor refer to that rule and how it would it would conflict so as result it does not. Automatic Hit and Critical Hit are not the same terms and since the PHB does...

Use a free action after a charge?

The way we play is pretty simple we that after a charge you lose any minor, move and standard actions you have left. So if you action point then charge bad times......the reason we chose this way is that without allowing free actions you cannot use the action point at all much less the action it...

    Adent Champion. Rules lawyers required

In my earlier post i made the statement that if the book had used the words "crit" instead of "critical hit" there would be no argument. Your response was that you agree with that idea and then added that had if they included the words "can" or "automatic hit" again there would be no debate. My...

    Adent Champion. Rules lawyers required

If that is so and since WOTC considers the terms the same as stated in the PHB why do you not think of them as the same?

Power of Skill - is it as broken as I think it is?

This feat is not even overpowered. It is much less powerful than reapers touch which has not caused one problem in our games and games i have seen. This seems a bit like "chicken little"

    Adent Champion. Rules lawyers required

why is this confusing? On page 276 in the PHB It has rules that state that a natural 20 roll may not be a critical hit. On page 278 it defines what a critical hit is and how you get them. They even go to the trouble of giving a critical hit another name (crit) to prevent this type of absurd...

Parties screwed without an Int-based PC?

The rules ask the DM to try to make the game as fun as possible for his group. Cakewalks might be be fun for a few minutes but not for a whole session. Exactly who thinks it is fun to sit around the table trying to figure out which way to go or which of these rusted swords are magical? I am...

Parties screwed without an Int-based PC?

Also the DM can just have the lvl 5 party run into 7 lvl 20 demons. There is no rule against that in any of the rulebooks. I think that doing that and the above are poor ideas. I also think the players should not have spend time "Looking for the fun" as the DMG puts it. These are just a...

Parties screwed without an Int-based PC?

The Dmg says some thing about this on page 27 on the right at the top "Magic Items: Speaking of magic items, when the characters get over their fear of the lightning-charged magic sword and pick it up, tell them what it is and what it does after they’ve examined it over the course of a short...

    Stacking same condition (save ends)

This Issue has been ruled on by WOTC. How it works is if you get hit by 2 monsters and they give you dazed (save ends) and you then make one save and if you succeed you are no longer dazed. Now if one monster gives you ongoing 5 fire and dazed (save end both) and another gives dazed (save ends)...

A couple abilities in Martial Power seem WAY too good...

The issue of the BRV has been discussed by a lot of people on forums all over the internet. Most of the posts have been by poeple who have had a knee jerk reaction to the THP stuff. I have played a lot of 4ED (been playing at least 2 times a week since the summer). Now in my play there has been...

A couple abilities in Martial Power seem WAY too good...

The invigorating THP being cumulative is not that strong at most levels against a balanced encounter as laid out in the DMG.

A couple abilities in Martial Power seem WAY too good...

you and a few others have had this confused by thinking that there are two pools of THP for the BRV fighter. This is incorrect. You simply have one pool when THP go in and you are a BRV fighter you ask one question "did these THP come from an invigorating power?" If yes add them to the total if...

A couple abilities in Martial Power seem WAY too good...

when it comes to the BRV if the DM is lazy with his encounters it is very very strong but if you do what the DMG tells you to do then it is quite balanced at that point. Meaning you should not have any encounter with just soldiers and brutes

    Swordmage too weak?

So in comparing swordmage to the fighter you use one of the fighters daily powers from the Martial Power book and not the features of each class? That does not seem helpful
