Phoenix uses up a small portion of her mental energy to increase her resilience and lessen the damage of the stone by a little. [sblock=OOC]Resilience power= spend 1PP to prevent 2 damage[/sblock]

Staying just inside the doorway to gain a little cover, Phoenix will make a fierce attack at the next target to present itself. Swinging her mindblade in a viscious arc and enjoying the scent of spilled blood sizzling from it... [sblock=attack and damage]Readied action to attack first in reach...(1d20+4=21, 1d6+3=5)
HP=11/12, PP=3/4[/sblock]

Verrick Dram

It's the people who attacked us earlier.

Verrick grips his quaterstaff preparing to strike the first attacker that gets close enough. Seeing the injury that Phoenix received, he positions himself so that the entrance can give him whatever cover possible. Attack Roll: 7 However, given the increasing smoke, his strike is rather inaccurate. (In the exceedingly unlikely chance that 7 hits, the damage is 5 +2 if a human.)

As the smoke thickens making breathing more difficult your attackers seem content to watch the warehouse burn and let you hide in it, as no one is charging the door. They seem to be making an effort to remain concealed.

A few stones are cast your way but strike the doorway to either side of Phoenix and Verrick.

OOC: So the door to the north is being battered but nobody is at the double doors to the west that we can tell?

OoC: I missed this question earlier, sorry. Correct, there is no pounding on the double doors.

"Verrick, it looks like they have no more interest in dying right now. What say we retreat and leave them to battle another day?"

Phoenix will take one last deep breath of the cleaner air blowing in through the doorway before retreating and heading toward the trapdoor in the south...

If she makes it all the way to the trapdoor, she yells down "My mother is blue!", before climbing quickly down out of the burning wharehouse and into whatever waits below...

Verrick nods at Phoenix, then replies, "Go check it out." Verrick then turns his attention back on their attackers. He will keep his position at the door until Phoenix has opened and enter the trap door, at which time he will follow her and the rest of the group.

Seeing Phoenix break away from the door, Lookspring reconsiders his own position. With smoke getting heavier higher up, his payment tucked into his belt, and no enemies charging in, there is little reason to stick around. Leaping off the stack of crates he heads in the direction Pheonix went to find the alternate exit.

Ray decides its good to be a halfling sometimes since the air at his level is still somewhat ok.
He then heads out with the others....

Pinkie, after you my dear....

[sblock=Qu3stion] Did we ever cover IC how or where we were going to link back up with Uggla for the new mission? If so, Ray intends to be a part of hat misssion if possible. [/sblock]

As Phoenix lowers herself into the underground tunnel she feels the wetness of the ground and walls causing her to wonder how long this tunnel will last before collapsing on its own. To her untrained eye she thinks hours maybe days at most. The tunnel is roughly dug out of the earth with no supports evident. Down the tunnel a faint light can be seen.

A moment later Lookspring drops in behind Phoenix. Then Pinkie, Ray and Verrick.

As the group enters the tunnel the condition of the warehouse gets worse as the roof is consumed in fire at this point. Verrick closes the trap door and the only light available is far off to the front.
