The devil raises both hands and the stone blocks cease going up and down, to slowly come back to their original place. In a few seconds the room is as featureless as it was when you entered it.

Devils are notorious for their intrincate deals and the pleasure they take in twisting them to their benefit. By not actually agreeing to Porphyria's request and using a somewhat obvious verbal loophole, you think he (it?) must be up to something, although giving that he stopped the room's movement it must be more elaborate than just a simple backstab[/sblock]

Joy paused for just a moment, then surged forward. She kept up her eerie keening song, cutting at the impaler with her heavy sword just as her voice rose once more.
