Gellan dashes between the dragon's front legs, slashing behind him for a clean miss. He lets loose with a sulfurous oath in his native language as the acid continues to cling to his armor.

Prime continues spinning in place even as the dragon bites him, making attack after attack on the dragon. The construct's blows are wild, but often innaccurate. Fortunately the beast's bite doesn't seem to have any discernible effect on the construct.

[sblock=partial turn]Prime suffers 8 damage and 4 ongoing damage, thanks to his DR. It's not enough to chew through his temporary hit points.

I'll wait to post until I see what the rest of the party does. I think there's a possibility of sliding the dragon out of the zone, then Tide of Iron'ing him back which should prone it again, if we don't prone it by other means. edited, since Vermitrax's area ended.

In the meantime, Prime got one Combat challenge attack since he wasn't in the breath attack's area (automatic fail), and Sharpe's granted MBA, which only deals 12 damage and gives him 5 HP back

About the dragon's Immediate Attacks (tail slap) have in mind you only have one Immediate Action per turn, unless I'm mistaken[/sblock]

From his vantage point where he stays safe, Vermitrax tries to stonize the dragon with a transmutation spell, as he did with the shambling mound. Hopefully this creature was not as resistant. While mumbling the words of power, he sprays some sort of dust in the air in front of him, that start glittering and swirling in a vortex in front of the mage. The last parts of the spell vocal components are audible, in the already familiar language of the Imperium "... sangüíneamis, petríficulaster!" The spell finished, runes appear in the ground, around the dragon, and shine brightly, sending a column of cian light upwards in a flash. Parts of the dragon flesh turn grey and become of pure calcium carbonate. His blood also starts mineralizing, sending waves of pain when the creature moves.

OOC: Hit for 8, and slowed until end of Vermitrax next turn

Prime sees little reason to change strategy as this location seems to be the optimal for minimizing the dragon's deadly breath attacks. He continues pummeling the beast, which proves to have a hide tough enough to soften most of his hammer blows.

[sblock=actions]
Before turn starts: Deals 12 damage thanks to Sharpe's actions, as detailed in post #122
Start of turn: Takes 5 ongoing acid damage, reduced to 4 thanks to DR granted by armor.
Standard Action: Shield Feint attack on dragon, fails to hit. Dragon is Marked.
End of turn: Fails to save against ongoing damage, even with racial bonus. Not a good turn.

Start of dragon's turn: Takes 8 damage from Rain of Steel (already modified in map)[/sblock]

[sblock=mini-stats] Prime Warforged Fighter 5
[sblock=Things to remember]
  • Prime has damage reduction 1 against all damage
  • When an enemy marked by Prime makes an attack that doesn’t include him, he can make an Immediate Interrupt to make a Melee Basic Attack against him. If the attack connects, he can push the target up to 3 squares; since interrupts happen before the action that provoked them, pushing an enemy that attacks an ally beyond reach can potentially negate the attack altogether. Notice also that this attack isn’t an opportunity attack
  • Prime has a +2 bonus to hit with Opportunity attacks and if they hit they stop enemies if a move provoked the attack. They can resume moving using other actions.
Trigguers:
Shield Edge Block when the -4 to the enemy’s roll can negate the attack
Guardian’s Counter when an ally within 2 squares is attacked, especially if the swap would negate the attack (it hit the ally’s defense, but is not high enough to hit Prime’s)
