Feint

The "feint" action description says that it is a standard action and that if successful its effect takes place during your next attack. My question is this: Since feint is a standard action, I would think that one's "next attack" could not take place until the next round. The only way that the attack could be done during the same round as the feint is if one did the feint as a move action, but that requires the Improved Feint feat. Am I right on this?

Thanks.

In short, yes.

Also note that some PrCs can also grant the ability (and better). I think Invisible Blade from Complete Warrior is one of those.

Or if your opponent provokes an AoO...
