Percy takes and frowns at the question. "The bandits were all anyone talked about a month back. They attacked a caravan heading to the wainwrights. Heard they killed most and captured a few of those poor folk."

Just then one of the serving girls steps up to take an order. "Four of the special ales from the brewmiester, if'n you please." Farmer Percy says as he digs out a few coins. "Right away." the girl says with a quick curtsy and smile.

As Percy seperates the coins into three piles he continues his tale. "Well the sent the Badger's out but by then the bandits and anything worthwhile was gone. Think they scavenged a few of the wagons for scrape. About this time their was another group of trouble-seekers here abouts." Finished he has a small pile of coppers, silvers, and electrum before him.

He rubs his chin thinking. "A half-elf and a couple gnomes, they were. Haven't seen them since they went searching for those bandits."

The serving girl returns and places three large stines with hardy heads of foam before each of you. Percy gives her the only four electrum coins he has and lifts a mug. "To those poor souls who sought trouble and probably found it, down at the old moathouse."

"so, this moat house?" he liftts the ale like he is drinking, even letting foam get on his upper lip. Something about the price seems not right . . . . .

OOC: You'd appreciate it Scott it tastes just like Westvletern 12

"Dark nut brown, hazy color with small beige head. Sweet aroma of caramel, alcohol, fruit, flowers a bit licorice and banana, very complex. Extremely well balanced complex flavor, being soft and sweet into a bit biting alcohol. Flavor consists of bananas, citrus, hops, alcohol and caramel and lots more."

Farmer Percy gives a grin as it dawns on him that the gnome and dwarf are outsiders, and thus don't understand.

"I meant Burne's Badgers. It's what folk around here call the local guard. Lord Burne and Lord Rufus were adventure folk until they decided to settle here. Heard they killed a green dragon and all it's gold is held up inside that tower of theirs."

While he talks he takes a couple gulps of his ale and then looks inside the stine. He then reaches in and starts to fish something out with his fingers. In a few seconds he sets an orange slice down beside the stine before taking it up again to continue drinking.

OOC: :p

Garrick says, "That would be swell! We could meet them and trade heroing notes. Then we can take a look about the moathouse. It don't sound too bad. Almost quaint."

"Well Burne and Rufus are busy building their new keep, but they have said their door is always open to those who wish to see 'em." Percy says as he finishes his stine in one long pull. He eyes Veerdunn as the dwarf just stares at his mug. "Best to drink it when it is at it's coldest," he says nodding to the drink.

"Well the sun comes up early, and I only have enough time and money for one round. You young'ins take care if you venture out after dim bandits. And good luck." Percy says as he gets up and heads to the door.

[sblock=OOC] Next move up to the rest of you. It is about three-four hours till dark so you could head over to Burne's tower if you wish. Or you may search out more info here.[/sblock]
