Pushing the other three out of the way the small kitara thrusts his weight against the door, but finds it impossible to budge or break. Unwilling to try again, he pulls an axe from his side and begins to smash at the door. While he manages to break off some pieces, the door seems to be strong and well resistant to his attention.

ooc: the wood is hard, its going to take some time at this rate. Fortunately, no one seems to care

"Okay, the hard way then..." Phoenix mutters as she steps up to the door with her ignited mind blade. Focusing her energies Phoenix lets loose more of her mental power to energize the mental blade before she strikes at the doors.

[sblock]OOC: Using Mind Blade with Psionic Weapon feat to make damage 3d6+3. She has to regain Psionic Focus again via a full round of meditation (with a Concentration check DC20) before being able to use the feat a second time. Hopefully the extra damage makes the every other round (or more) worthwhile still. After the doors are opened finally, she will take the needed time to regain her Psionic Focus before setting off again (unless they immediately enter combat or something when the doors fall).[/sblock]

Hanging in there. Better than the alternative.
" Whoa!" As Phoenix decides on more efficient and loud means to open the door, Kamdar steps back a bit, avoiding splinter. "Careful!"

The gnome's admonition couldnt have been more on point as the psion's energy weapon ripped through the door, sending fragments of wood splintering off in every direction. More than a few pieces bounced harmlessly off the armor of the adventurers, stuck as they were in the relatively tight quarters of the hall.

Immediately it was obvious why the door was so hard to move. Massive stalks of green collapse out of the room, forcing all to back up for a moment or be crushed under their weight. When the green and dust settle, the room is once again quiet, blanketed in a sea of green stalks and leafy flowers. The plants have long since grown through the ceiling and continued skyward, leaving streams of light cascading in and casting shadows on what once might have been a room used for storage. While there are flowers of almost every color in the room, several large bulbous flowers catch your eye.

[sblock=Knowledge Nature DC 10]The flowers are a common variety that protects itself by spewing a cloud of pollen into the air.[/sblock]

"Can we move through em or do we need to cut them out to move into the room?" Korash asks as he notices the abundant greenery that hsa crashed in to the hall.

Lookspring edges forward carefully, eyeing the greenery carefully. That one there, the closed bud and bright colors. Not to attract insects, but a warning. He hisses "Be careful, if you disturb those flowers they will retaliate with a potent defense. He then proceeds into the room doing his best to avoid the flowers. Once inside he begins checking for vermin and treasure.

"When we are done searching the place are they something an alchemist or herbalist will pay for." Korash replies as he slowly works around the plants and flowers careful not to disturb them with his lumbering bulk.

Kamdar shrugs, "Well, picking them without disturbing them would be tough." He follows along too, carefully avoiding the flowers and not wanting to even disturb the ground. All these plants creep him out. He rubs his ring nervously.

The kitara, the dwarf, and the gnome gingerly make their way past the broken door and into the room. Phoenix and Tumna stayed in the hall, the mindblade clearly taking the time to refocus while there were no apparent threats. More than once Lookspring had to hiss at the Dwarf, who threatened to inadvertanly step on the flowers the ranger had pointed out earlier. In time though, the group managed to make a thorough check of the room. Old clothes, some texts on herbology and plant identification, and other similar mundane items were the bulk of what was found, and the group was about to give up when the gnome tugged on a small metal ring poking up from the green. It was a scroll case, and with a little work the group managed to free it. It didnt take long to determine the strange scroll case was one of the items they had been hired to find.
