"I think we can arrange for you to show off," she grumbles.
Then the tip of her walking stick begins to glow red, and she sketches a map in the dirt.
"We're here," she says, drawing a tiny campfire to the Northeast. The strokes glow brightly in the dirt, even as the staff moves on. "Toward the edge of the forest." She fills on the border of a forest, surrounding the fire.
"You probably came from here," she nods at Karok, adding mountains to the West of the forest. "Though perhaps you'd prefer this..." and she draws in a river, coming down from the mountains, passing through the tip of the forest, and dividing (or perhaps joining with another) shortly thereafter.
"This, this, is our problem." She draw in some roads, roughly following the river, with two small arches where it crosses the water.
"And this is why we're here." She adds three letters to the map, one in a cleared area nestled between forest and river, one in the foothills of the mountains, and one at the fork in the river. The roads connect them all.
She pauses to admire her handiwork:

She points to each letter in turn:
- D: "The Dwarves are mining here. They're looking for some kind of buried artifact."
- F: "Most of the farms are to the south. But one of the largest is up here, separated from everything else."
- T: "This is the trading post. They're trying to build it into a town. You'll laugh at the name."
"So, these are our three problems. Any suggestions for how we deal with them?" She turns her hood toward each of you in turn, making it clear that she'll accept input from anyone. Disconcertingly, you still can't see into it, so it's still a mystery who you're speaking with.
