That's fine, let Elvis keep his dragon mount - he'll have more fun that way.
Well, I'd say that many not only = average, it's really the only choice. Look at the paladin abilities line. It specifically identifies the special mount. :)

The mounting was not fast (16 Ride check), but Plant acts the following round because of his readied action, so Plant takes them to 110N70E at the beginning of round 683. Elvis has 99 HP.

Round 683

MacEther lands at 90N80E, biting Plant along the way (rolled 43) for 26 points of damage. MacEther grabs Plant (74 vs. 41 grapple) in his mouth. Plant has 35 HP remaining. Elvis gets an AoO as MacEther lands if he wants.

Elvis actually hits (rolled 41) for 14 points of damage. When Elvis is picked up with Plant, he stays on Plant automatically because he has enough ranks in Ride. It is Elvis's turn. He can dismount if he wants, and end up next to MacEther at 100E, anywhere from 90N-105N.

MacEther has 303 HP remaining.

Elvis definitely needs to practice his riding (18 Ride check). His sword bounces off MacEther's scales (rolled 31).

Round 684

Plant has trouble attacking from inside the mouth (best roll 35-4=31).

MacEther hurls Plant out of the arena. MacEther backs up to 90N60E. Elivis's AoO is even worse than his previous swing (rolled 30).

Elvis readies an action to teleport to the far side of the arena (0n90e) if he looses a grapple check. His sword held ready to attack at any oppertunity.

Round 685

MacEther stops blinking. He walks to 90N80E and bites Elvis (rolled 50) for 25-10=15 points of damage, grabbing Elvis (67 vs. 40 grapple). Elvis appears at 0N90E, with 84 HP remaining.

What does Elvis do now?
