No, because it's obviously having no effect. He changes shape into a dire wolf and then bites the insides of MacEther until he's dead.

For those without that tome, Clytan has the feats Cleave, Flyby Attack, Heighten Breath, Hover, Leadership (no cohorts or followers), Power Attack, Recover Breath, and Wingover.
He knows that MacEther's dragon traits, that he can blink as a spell-like ability, and that he can see into the Ethereal Plane.

0 level - arcane mark, detect magic, flare, light, mage hand, prestidigitation, read magic
level 1 - charm person, magic missile, protection from evil, shield of faith, true strike
level 2 - cure moderate wounds, fog cloud, resist energy
