[LPF] About a Cow

Arradon finds nothing that would indicate a reason why the kobolds attacked. Too much coincidence that they should attack the night Jezz returns with help against the kobolds? Maybe, maybe not. Most of the kobold gear he finds is poorly made, pieced together bits of hide or tack stolen from local farms and other bits of farm gear made into crude armor and weapons that aren't worth anything. All except the dagger.

The dagger is light, about half the weight of the daggers Arradon normally uses, but perfectly balanced. At first he thought it might be silver but holding it Arradon believes it might be something much more rare and precious. There is an interesting bit of engraving down the blade like a strand of chain.

Aelspeth Noromiel, Emergent Conjurer

Aelspeth casts about, looking for Darwin to ensure he is uninjured. The sees the little scamp curled up and sleeping in the farthest corner of the barn, apparently having retired right after checking on Arradon. The adrenaline rush that came with the fight slowly ebbs and elicits a yawn and a stretch from the woman.

"The creature can wait until we've rested and broken our fast. He'll not escape his bonds anytime soon. Furthermore, this way we could discuss a unified approach to extracting information before we attempt."

After further discussing with her companions the kobold leader's fate, Aelspeth adds, "Perhaps we should stack the kobold corpses in here so none of the Jezz children have to see them?"

With a casual motion Arradon tosses Autumn the dagger. "Catch. It's fine workmanship, but that's all I can say." He turns to Aelspeth, "I'll keep our friend company until morning, if he tries anything... Well, you know." He produces one of his daggers with a flourish then makes it disappear just as fast. He slinks over to the doorway of the barn and leans up against the door frame, his eyes now intent upon his captive.

"I will take my turn at the watch. Wake me at the halfway point and I will keep an eye on that 'devil dog' so that you can get some sleep as well."

With the kobolds taken care of, watch set, and the dagger determined to be very fine craftsmanship but otherwise non-magical there is nothing left to do but finish out the night in sleep.
