Thaumaturgy.

(Thaumatology would then be the study of thaumaturgy. Thaumatological would be something pertaining to thaumaturgy; a thaumatological formula)

I actually don't think the question is for a name for a magic/machine hybrid, but rather asking "Technology is to machines, as ________ is to magic".

failure.

seems that magic has a limited duration and/or resources. so you have to keep casting or feeding it to get it to work.

wait... that's the same with tech too isn't it?

so what is another name for clockwork when dealing with majick?

IMO, "Mechanika" sounds good, but words like "Alchemy" or "Thaumaturgy" are too much well known as some form of (non-mechanical) magic, that using them for it would sound wrong.

I also suggest "Clockwork Magic" (inspired from Al Qadim).
