"Err guys that call wasn't infact my agent it seems like the girl I caught boss has another job for her $15,000 for some cars we can check the details later"
Terrance, writes a quick message on his phone to remind him of the details"
"might also be worth asking the police if we can get the prints of the girl they caught...well that I caught too"
Terrance stares at the pictures and the collar
"Billy the kid? geez you Americans are corny"
Terrance's form flows into that of Dana Scully again as he dusts the collar for more prints, before returning to his natural form.

"So folks we got a load of prints to check, a missing goat, and another job for a not so super villain, I say we cross check the prints with the base's computer and have a little browse at this would be criminaljob.com, well actually thats not the name it's apparently on Craigslist' inland empire's wanted section and we're to look for 'Hot Russian Girl Wants Used Cars' "

Max nods.

"I think we may have looked all over here? Probably best to regroup and go over the clues we have."

Mayor's House
The group notified the police about the crime scene before leaving. The only other visible clue that was of any interest was the home's smashed sliding glass door. It was not obvious what shattered the door, however the goat napper's decision to leave through the front door, rather then the smashed door, seemed odd.

Moment's later, Freedom Theater
Using the theater's super crime computer, the Salton Stars learn the following:

Threat Fingerprints
The mayor received twelve extortion notes/threats during the course of one month (not including the ransom note). Except for the last two letters he received, the amounts were relatively small and ranged between $800 to $5000. For the most part, the threats were generic.

The group was able to get finger prints from most of the letters. According to the database, most of the finger prints (except for the ones obtained on the knife and ransom note), came from individuals who live through out Riverside County California. The ages of the individuals ranged between 17 to 35 years of age and were all created by men. The worse offense that any of the individuals were arrested on was a DUI. Addresses and phone numbers are listed for each individual.

Ransom Note & Knife
The database shows that the finger prints found on the knife and random note belongs to Beatrice Maude Zbornak, who serves at the Chairperson of Salton City's Senior Council. She lives at 1850 Sunset Wayin Salton City. Her phone number is ###-555-6533

Mayor's Home Fingerprints
The fingerprints that were obtained from the mayor's house belonged to the following individuals:
Karl Smirnov Jr. Current residence: 2456 Desert Palm Rd, Salton City. ###-555-8352
Morgan Popov. Current residence: 1020 Salton Drive, Salton City. ###-555-7866
Jose sauza. Residence 451a Round Street, Salton City. No phone number is listed.

Both Jose Smirnov and Jose Sauze have criminal records.

"We're thinking that the old woman was controlled by someone, yes?" Max says. "Maybe that's the best place to start? If we can find a way to figure out who's doing the controlling, maybe we can backtrack them."

((OOC: Sorry. Could have sworn I was caught up, but I guess I missed this.))

Keiko gazes at the information floating on the computer's screen.

"A lot of leads to follow," she remarks.

"We may have to split up on this."

She taps her chin, then adds, "I think the most important ones...at least for now...are Beatrice, Jose, and this Russian car job. Beatrice looked mind controlled. One of us can interview her to see if she remembers anything from the experience."

"Jose was one of the ones who stole the goat from the Mayor. His name isn't Russian though, so he may be hired help. That could make him less loyal...easier to get information from."

"And this car thing...the party at Roxanne's is something we will definitely want invitations to," Keiko concludes. "The Russian mafia seems like it's definitely behind all this...but there's some things the Mayor isn't telling us too."

"What do you guys think?"

Freedom Theater
Emily walked across Freedom Theater's crime lab and brought up a map of the city on the main screen. "Salton City has a beach, is located in the desert, has an airport, and multiple dried rivers, and several bus stations." She then brought up a listing of the local bus stations. One of the stations is located at 1070 Camino Drive, which is located near the Desert Flower Inn (see Post 1). "We don't have any casinos, however, the closest one is located on reservation land Coolidge Springs and is not too far from where the Mayor lives." She displayed the casino's location on the screen then continued. "Let me add in the locations of our persons of interest.."

Emily then displayed the addresses of suspects and Beatrice Zbornak on the map. The two Russians live close to each other in a section of the city known as Salton Sea Beach. Beatrice Zbornak lives within a few blocks of City Hall. Jose Sauze lives near the airport.

"I think we need to check in with Pole first, see if things are still kosher at City Hall," Max says. "If we have to swing by there, then it looks like Zbornak's the closest lead to follow. If not, I guess maybe the airport's best if we think we can break the hired help."

Meanwhile, at City Hall . . .

Mikel had quickly gotten bored with his uneventful bodyguard duty. He was poking around on a borrowed laptop while the Mayor was attempting to get some work done. Coincidentally, his idle browsing brought him to . . .

"Hot Russian girl? Ha! Like I haven't heard that one before. Sure they CLAIM to be girls, but you take them out to the bar and. . . er, I mean. . . I think I heard about someone else falling for that. Once."

He looked over to the Mayor.

"Oh, um, right. Sorry."

And went back to wondering what was keeping the team.

Salton City Hall (Council Chamber)
Salton City's Trash Commissioner throws an icy glare towards the Ten Foot Pole as she raised her hand for acknowledgment. "Mayor Earhart, I realize that there has recently been a threat to our city's council, however, the heroes you hired does not have any regard for the legislative process. I would like to move to rebuke the Archon for his outburst and have him immediately removed from the council chambers."

The Salton City Commissioner of Lawn Care speaks up. "I would like to second that motion."

The Mayor sighed. "Alright, the current motion for discussion is the rebuking of the Ten Foot Pole for his comments and his immediate expulsion from the council chambers.." He glanced at the Ten Foot Pole. "I would like to start this discussion by inviting any council member or attendee who is for this motion to state your reasons."

The Chairperson of the Water Board rose to his feet. "Your honor, during the course of this meeting, this Archon was downloading questionable material using our City Hall's internet connection. It is my opinion that such a practice should not be allowed."

The Trash Commissioner spoke. "He denigrated Russians girls by stating that they aren't actually female."

The Chairwoman of the Commission of Parks and Services spoke up. "His excessive height scares and frightens me."

An audience attendee spoke up. "I think he should stay since I want to be on tv."

The Chairman of the Urban Medicinal Gardening Commission spoke up. "Dude.. like... the colors.... man... he's harshing my mellow...!"

The Ten-Foot Pole blushed as he realized what he had interrupted. He'd forgotten the meeting was in session, it was so boring it had nearly put him to sleep. But every time he opened his mouth to apologize, a new accusation was leveled at him. Until the last council member's assertion. He leapt to his feet, anger coloring his face.

"The COLORS! These are the colors of the flag of Poland, my homeland! How dare you. . "

He paused just as he was getting into his rant to look down at the half comatose UMGC Chairman and the Parks Chairwoman, who he was fairly sure had just wet herself and had decency to look slightly ashamed.

"Never mind. Mister Mayor. I shall wait stand guard outside. If there is need, simply call."

He stalked out of the chamber, an affect somewhat ruined by the fact that he had to bend over nearly double to get out the door, and stood fuming outside the council chamber.

"Harshing his mellow indeed."
