I could do a computer geek NPC - he was suppose to be the rogue of the group (disable traps, open doors, etc.)

You are right about the level we should try a few different ones. For this let's go level 4 to gain the ability boost.

Character gene:
point buy - 20pts (don't forget +2 to one ability for being human, and +1 at level 4)

And I guess we will use the modern rules from the first post as is for now.

Equipment: As much as you can carry. :)

I think I will take the obvious choice: the Soldier archetype. Maybe more than one could take the same archetype, so we can see if they can be created different enough of each other to provide a niche for all players.

@WD that would be a good ideal at that. TSS said he wanted to shotgun something maybe he should make a soldier type too with the added...

I would love to shotgun a zombie. Babysi...I mean protecting a geekB-) would be fine and soldier would be great. I could make a close encounter demo guy or medical guy.

Are we held to the weapons on the site? I have the Weapons Locker from D20 Modern and would like some of those options if at all possible. Nothing crazy or really exotic but something like the M14, which is not mentioned on the PF Modern list of weapons. Also I see Explosives on the the skills list but nothing that says how I would add the Knowledge (Explosives) to my set of skills. I'm tired so maybe I'll read it again later and gain a better understanding at the rules. Also for the weapons added I was thinking for the Masterkey, it's an under mounted shotgun like the M203.

For now I just want to stick with the Modern PF rules and see where we might want to change things. I already had trouble making a "normal" guy hero.

I have jotted down some ideals and am going to make a Modern PF Roster this week to put characters in for use in the different scenarios and have as backup NPCs if this goes someplace.

Awww WD you know it wants to grow on you. But you can use anything you like for this I won't be checking on characters to harshly, just want to see how this plays.

Everyone I have a scenario in mind.

Your all part of a group of mercenaries for higher. You go into troubled zones and free hostages, take on rebels, and are good at what you do.

You have been hired by a big Pharmaceutical Company to rescue trapped scientist at one of their facilities. The hazard warning went off and the place went into lock down mode. They have highered your group out for transportation protection and guard duty before and have the money to pay.

But a snag in your easy assignment comes when your "tech guy" is on vacation and forgoing all modern communication. There is no time to go get him so your boss tells you to sit tight and he will send in some help.

As you wait by the locked doors to enter the building you hear a car coming closer you turn to see...
