During round 1, Lupic moves up and finds some cover. He is now 30 feet from the archer with cover between them.

Round 2 continued:
Initiative:
Semabin: 11
Lupic: 9
Deos: 1
Semabin moves forward and make an ineffectual swing with his scimitar. scimitar (1d20-1=1, 1d6=3)
Lupic moves into flanking position with Semabin, but is unable to attack this round.
Deos fires into the group, but misses everything. crossbow (1d20-4=1, 1d8=8)
Round 2 ends.
Round 3 begins:
Initiative:
Fenwick: 22
Kyle: 19
U: 18
Fenwick fires another shot, but his shot again is stopped by the archer's armor. crossbow (1d20-2=12, 1d6=6)
Kyle moves foward (now 60 feet from the archer) and slings another stone, but it is a difficult shot. sling (1d20-5=8, 1d4+1=3)
The archer steps away from Lupic and fires two arrows at the big half-orc, but both wiz by without even striking his armor. (Provoke's two AoO from Semabin). During the first shot, Semabin is able to deliver a staggering blow with the flat of his blade. attack of opportunity (1d20-1=17, 1d6=4) critical threat. critical (1d20-1=15, 1d6=5) The archer remains on his feet though, ready to continue the fight.

OOC: At least only one of KO's characters was beset by terribly nasty luck this week.

Seeing Semabin lay into the archer Kyle stops advancing and spins back towards the camp site, ready to raise the alarm if any of the prisoners should try to escape.

Sorry about the tardy response, I was at a local gaming con all weekend.

Lupic will attempt to charge in a grapple the archer.

Semabin swings again with the flat of his blade, but the archer evades his attacks. scimitar (1d20-1=8, 1d6=6)
Lupic charges in tackling the archer and driving an armor spike into his body. [http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=469494]grapple check[/url] He is still hasn't passed out, but definitely is looking worse for wear.
Twisting for a moment in Lupic's grasp only causes him more pain. "I give up," he gasps though clenched teeth.

Now that his companions have heavily engaged the archer in hand to hand combat, Deos reloads his crossbow and keeps it trained on the fight, waiting to loose his bolt should the archer escape the melee.

"Very good. Lupic, let him off, please, but see that he doesn't run away." Semabin says as the archer capitulates. He keeps his scimitar ready, in case the archer tries anything.
