[sblock=”For Thraxus”] You can see to the North that there appears to be fires and the sounds of metal striking glass and a few fire arms going off. The demonstration appears to be at least a Kilometer away. You also notice that a few large trams in the track next to you have opened their doors and people who appear to be dock workers begin milling about outside the tram. Their attention appears to be fixed to the North where the demonstration is occurring. There appear to be a few men looking at your car instead of the demonstration.[/sblock]

Shocked at being noticed he begins to raise his gun.

OOC: We are on initiative now. I will initiative for everyone. The map link is below. The grey rectangles are the trams. All the trams have windows that reveal everything above the waist if you are standing up. Thus, your legs are granted cover.The white rectangles are doors. They can be activated by switches on either side as a half action. The red and blue rectangles are the drive compartments. Line of sight cannot be drawn through them into the car. If you move into them. You can then draw LOS outside the car. The black line in colum 8 is a 3 foot high concrete wall separating the two tracks. To the right of the wall is difficult terrain due to the crowd of people milling about there. The blue line on column 17 is a fence. The other fence is just to the left of column 1, if anyone moves in there I will draw it in. You guys are in the near the top left. Joe I've used a place holder picture for you. Let me know if you want to change it. Dallion is sitting across from Thraxus. If anyone wants to use a fate point for a roll of ten let me know asap.

[Gregor]

Thraxus finds is curious that a certain group of men appear to be watching his car, instead of the chaos up ahead on the tracks. The hairs on the back of his neck stand up and his instincts tell him that something very wrong is about to take place. He quick draws his hand cannon from his holster and holds it against the bulhead of the tram, shielding its sight from those outside. Speaking to the party, he says: "You notice those fellows staring at our car?"

OOC: Thraxus is delaying and will use his half-action when/if an opportunity arises during this round.

 

[The Bashar]

The Security guard near Thraxus perks up when he hears Thraxus talk. He readies his Lasgun and speaks over his microbead communicator.

"Check your corners boys, we may have a situation."

He then scans the crowd to the right of the car.

"I don't see anything, Sir."

Samuel, the guard in the drive compartment, draws his attention away from what's going on a head and looks to the side. He notices two mean walking toward the car dressed in long jackets. He then notices the glint of a weapon held beneath the jacket along their legs. He draws his lasgun and fires off a shot at the closest assailant (B3). The shot breaks the glass and strikes the man in the chest. He cries out in pain as the laser bolt penetrates his armour.

"We have enemy contact, two armed men!"

The guard on the south end of the car readies his lasgun and looks into the crowd south of the car.

"I see two guys staring at our car heading in our direction."

OOC: Ignore the first die roll.

 

[The Bashar]

OOC: Forgot to mention this, but on the map one square = 1 meter. Keep that in mind with your weapon ranges.

The injured attacker clenches his teeth and draws his shotgun from concealment under his coat and fires at Samuel. The shotgun blast hits him square in the chest shredding his flak armour and leaving him a bloody mess. His lifeless body falls to the floor of the now bloody drive compartment.

The attacker behind the man with the shotgun (A2) draws his Lasgun from concealment and moves up the length of the car (to D2).

The attackers at the south end of the car draw their weapons and move forward (V2 to S2, U3 to R3, U9 to R9, V9 to S9).

The attackers being watched by Thraxus draw their weapons and fire. The shot intended for Macharius sails high and strikes the top of the tram. The shotgun blast catches Thraxus' left arm, but it is unable to penetrate his armour to do any damage.

 

[Kaelan]

"These aren't protesters, it's an ambush attempt."

Macharius states to everyone while he readies and fires [A9] in response to the attack against him.

 

[Uthic]

Mordekai locks his eyes to the man to the south, reaching into his coat with his right hand and drawing his bolt pistol, he lines up and snaps off a bolt round through the window at him (V1).

Zander moves next to the window [G4] and crouches as he unslings his lasgun from his back.

"Was that four attackers? Did we get any?"

 

[Gregor]

Thraxus watches with incredulity as a shot is deflected by the shoulder plate on his ornate armor. "By the warp", he exclaims, "this is an antique!". Staying low in his chair (to use the bulkhead as cover), Thraxus raises his hand cannon and returns fire, with a deafening loud shot, at the assailant who scratched his armor.

OOC: Well ... we're dead!

 

[The Bashar]

Dallion curses and draws his Hellpistol. He turns in his seat to fire at the assailant who's moved up to point blank range. The shot catches him right in the chest. The power of hellpistol goes through his meagre armour and burns his body. You can hear the sizzling of his flesh as he lets out a pitiful whimper. He staggers but still has the strength to carry on the fight.

[Gregor]

Thraxus makes a quick visual sweep of the area, noting that the driver has been slain and enemies are moving up close on the left. He sinks into his comfortable feeling of command, as if standing on the bridge of his starship and begins to take control of the situation.

"Mordekai!", he shouts, "two closest targets are on the left flank, adjacent to the driver's compartment. Light them up!"

OOC: As a free action, Thraxus uses his 'Exceptional Leader' ability to grant Mordekai +10% on his next BS attack.

Thraxus then aims his hand cannon at the target he previously missed. He grips the massive pistol in both of his gloved hands, stares down the sight and fires another gargantuan bullet.
