OOG: I typed a long post, but ENWorld ate it. I'm saddened and don't have time to write it again. Search "DM Rae" on IC for rolls.

Rinya succeeds in bringing down a second satyr.

Thallirae coup de grace's it, keeping it down.

The last satyr (having made its reflex save for Tumna's grease), flees 75' down the root tunnel. (Also making its balance check to move through the grease.)

The satyr moves at 40', and no running is possible through the twisting tunnels.

Seeing that the damage he's inflicting does very little good, Saithnar steps back slightly to reasess the situation for a moment.

OOC: 5 foot step back from the nearest Satyr and ready an action to strike at anything that moves within reach of his staff.

So, two satyrs are down, one is fled, and 'Tentacles' is down as well. We can maintain combat rounds for longer, if you like, but it's not necessary.

What now?

OOC: So... the tentacle gnome finally stayed down?

Richard looks around the battlefield... "We were ambushed, maybe even setup..." He stares hard at their uninjured 'escort'.

OOC: Sorry, I wasn't clear. =P The satyrs and "gnome" are still regenerating, I'm just assuming that you guys hang around stabbing them, keeping them unconscious while you figure out what to do.

Oh, and the silence is still active, so only Richard's immediate neighbors can actually hear him. (Obviously, that means that Coir and Nhairi can't hear him either.) Reading lips isn't too hard, but avoid discussing astral body movements over the silenced area.

Coir has ventured out now into the silenced area. His face is in deep concentration as he carefully moves his feet around the thick patches of roots. Nhairi is hanging by the entry passage, calling out into the silence.

Richard watches the monks, his frustrated words still on his tongue. As he peers through the unnatural light and strange vegetation he realizes that one of the 'brothers' is apparently shouting... the other seems to be ... 'oh... crap'
"I uh... might, um, have been ... hasty. Well, I forgot the blindness thing and the weird magic silence thing... that would mess with a guy."
Turning his frustration on a more real target Richard takes his sword in a two handed grip and begins 'working' on the prone "gnome"s exposed neck. He tries to place his blows carefully, not wanting to blunt his sword-edge on the stone floor below, yet he spares little for mercy, trying to sever the beast's head from it's body.
[sblock=OOC: ]I'd like to just keep whacking on it's neck until there's no longer a connection. I'll go ahead and post some attacks, jic they're needed, to save time.
Power Attacking -3 Hit, +3 damage, First Attack not so good, a 7 to hit and 12 damage.
Second Attack, a tad better 23 To Hit, 12 Damage :) (Natural 19, too bad I can't crit :( )
Third Attack (geez I hope this isn't necessary  , but by God if it IS necessary, it's a nice one Natural 20 to hit (total 24) and 11 rolled damage. Again, too bad for a loss of crit chances :(
(jic) [/sblock]
