And I should probably give Baphomet a nod for being the only Demon Lord I've ever actually had appear in person.

Re too many Demon Lords:

....having tons of Demon Lords fits with the nature of the Abyss as a turbulent cesspool of evil...ever shifting alliances...ever shifting power struggles.

Ever play Diplomacy? Imagine that with 112 major players and multiple minor players! The backstabbing political moves would be awesome!

Compare that to Hell...where the politics is just as intense, but the playing field rarely changes. To compare to Diplomacy again, I would expect in Hell that a contract (whether verbal, written, or however communicated) would be signed for any deal and would be honored...no double crossing (unless it is in the fine print)...

I don't know why...but I just had an disturbing image pop into my head of Demogorgon in a zoot suit (the disturbing image part) running the mafia, but having Asmodeus be his attorney. I need some sleep.

I've had a lot of fun with Yeenoghu in my campaigns. Not only is he a big nasty demon lord but he has worshipers all over the prime material plane. Gnoll clerics and flind warlocks never get old.

I notice that I'm still the only one who's tossed a vote in for Bechard. I just find the idea of an ancient, beached whale of a demon lord slowly dying for millenia really interesting.

Except it isn't just FR drow who view her that way, and "Lloth" was a spelling error* that first appeared in FR (in the novel The Crystal Shard)

*much later rationalized as a regional drow variation in that specific portion of FR's underdark

Also; I noticed the poll (and therefore the Wikipedia page, I suppose) are missing Serpentrous, or whatever his name is; the obyrith lord from Elder Evils. I mean, technically he's dead and all, but so is Obox-ob, and so was Orcus, etc. No reason to believe he won't come back. His aspect statted up in Elder Evils is in the same CR range as the demon lords in Fiendish Codex I.
