What's in your pack?

All adventurers have weapons, armor, magic....but I'm interested in the mundane things. The things that are more utilitarian than flashy....so, post the contents of your pouches or backpacks, your sacks and sachels. You buy a lot of random adventuring items a la carte...so tell me, right now, what does your character have for random utilitarian items?

One time I looked at one of my player's sheets for something, and I noticed that in his backpack, he had written down an odd item - Slayer "Reigning Blood" 7"ep (Slayer are a speed metal band for those who don't know.) I nearly died laughing!!!

Tongs not just for cooking but allows character to pick up items or dip items without touching
Chalk for the marking of passages
Door wedges
Fishing Line & hooks
Grapples - Cheap light wiegth hooks with eye holes for rope for quick escapes, leave the hook.
Extra gloves
Gas Mask

I'm a collector of wierd stuff when I'm a player, so my backpacks tend to be filled with mescellaneous debris that was largely included as scene filler by the GM. Very occasionally they come in useful, mostly they're just there to serve as reminders of what came before should the PC last that long (none of them do, for one reason or another).

I once had a player who included a door knocker on his backpack, just because he found it in an equipment list and decided he wanted on. Eventually he enchanted it so the familiar could get in and out of the pack without to much difficulty.

The weirdest thing I've found on one of my players lists was a adamentium nail clipper which they stole from a succubes (I had completely forgot that he had took that :)). The rest is the normal stuff like chalk, retractable 10'' poles, etc.

infinite slings
infinite needles
infinite fishing line
infinite holly & mistletoe

all the things they cost nothing and weigh even less.

This should be every mundane item my DL minotaur has on him:

assorted knives bound in leather straps
three grappling hooks
2x 50'' ropes
1x 60'' rope
chalk
hammer
two slings
small bag of nails
small bag of wooden wedges
small bag of coarse sand
small bag of fine sand
small bag of sharp stones
small bag of black marbles
small bag of tinder
small bag of precious gems (a.k.a loose change)
small bag of assorted teeth
flint and steel
a pirate'ish scarf
large black cloak
three brown flasks filled with water
two white flasks filled with oil
fishing line and lures
three large (as in clubs) torches

Line and fishing hooks. Chalk - never go anywhere without it. A couple of small knives. A couple changes of clothing. A file. Odd bits of string, leather thongs and several small carved toy animals (village kids love stuff like that), some small gems and loose coin, some willow bark. Plus the normal adventuring stuff, like cord and grapple, etc.

small mirror
pouch of powdered chalk
chalk sticks in different colors (blue, red, green, white)
string
signal whistle

those are the things I buy for every character I make

Human War Cleric:
4 lbs of tobacco
pipe
a keg of dwarven spirits

Gome Illusionist:
pipe
1 lb of "not" tabbacco
a "small" keg of dwarven spirits

And some people say I play the same character all the time :p
