Hancock - has anyone seen it?

I saw it last night. I loved it. IT was not a great movie but I was thoroughly entertained and felt I got my monies worth.

There are some hilarious scenes in the movie.

Could have been a little longer.

The wife and I both enjoyed it. Didn't see the twist coming (though I thought something was odd) and we're surprised it hasn't been spoiled at large yet. Good time.

I saw the movie yesterday, and it made a great part of my holiday weekend. I would heartily recommend it.

I agree with Mark. It is now pretty clear that there's many reviewers who went in with particular expectations, didn't have them met, and hold the movie at fault for that. I think the reviewers are too stuck in particular ruts to really enjoy the thing for what it is, which is a pretty nice piece of storytelling.

Well I got quite fooled by the second person, I knew from the snippet preview, he was going to fight someone.

I was floored, on who it was.

Genuine Surprise.

I liked the entire premise of the film.

And yes, there was many inner plots, that need to be answered.

Maybe a second film, or a Director;s Cut on DVD, might explain some of those other mentions in the film.
Saw it today. I always disregard the hype, whether it is good or bad, but this movie stunk anyway. Too many plot-holes.

I was rather disappointed, it was ok but not great and like I am Legend will be better on DVD. See Wall-E, Wanted or the Incredible Hulk for a better movie.

I liked it quite a bit, once I realized the film wasn't a comedy...or at least not the sort of comedy contemporary audiences recognize as such.

One interesting key for recognizing the film was more serious than its advertisements was seeing Hancock's reactions; this wasn't a comedian, this was a portrayal of a person on a slide downhill, who can't figure out how to get out of it, and is hopelessly angry at the reactions he's getting from people.

Granted, there were a lot of funny elements in the film, but they fit into the serious whole.

I liked it.

I think the reactions to the film boil down to the "twist" mid-way through. You either like the twist, and like what the movie becomes; or you dislike the twist, and are disappointed in the movie.

I think that's a big part of it. I think also the film was billed as a comedy "schlub hero turns his life around" film, and half-way through it turned into something very different.
