Or for the same reason everyone else doesn't devote their life to helping others. I can't really see adding a potentially beneficial power changing the nature of humanity. Besides, a portal-making teleporter could probably do a lot more to help others...or become a one-man competitive threat to airlines.

Clover help ease droughts and such or she could sell rain to countries like Dubai. Clover has that Noblesse Oblige thing going so its more likely the former, but for most people I'm pretty sure it'd be the money making scam.

And Sollir: Never gonna happen. Contrary to everything romantic comedies have ever taught me, when a man and woman meet and don't seem to like each other...it probably means they don't like each other.

Well that and he doesn't look as good as Trilly in a skirt.

Would Dubai even want rain? I mean, rain hurts tourism, and I think the country gets a lot more from tourism than it does from farming. Cooling the temperature ten degrees might be better received.

She couldn't do a country, and not all of the country is a city. I am somewhat curious though about weather Control. She has 4pp a rank to divide up between weather effects, what would she get if she didn't want to apply any effects? A light rain will feed the crops, but it wont hamper movement or visibility for example.

So I'm going to tie off the ish in the morning, and then there's going to be a couple week hiatus while I do the moving thing. I know Emmet wants to get on the net to learn more about the attackers. That will be dealt with off screen. If anyone else is having their PC do anything besides relax before their first day of school, just let me know here, and I'll figure it in. Next ish will start off the first school day, which was suspended a day due to the incident, so you'll have a full day to do what you like...except leave the Institute, which is under lockdown to protect the kids (and appease concerned parents, of course).

The old game's Letters to the Editor was cool, and will make a return, but not at this moment, as I have some packing to do.

Jerry's planning to soak up swimming tips from Amadi, but that's about it. Maybe spend some time hanging out with Cody, trying to get him into the pool or whatever. He can't really teach anybody how to surf without waves on hand.

Since that's a flavor thing, so as long as it's reasonable, we don't need to worry so much about a hard limit.

Those stupid bad guys. Primary objective a success. Can't they just lose like decent villains, instead of creating convoluted plans that aren't immediately obvious?

Emmet also wanted to see about helping the police (and more importantly, satisfying his own curiosity) by taking apart their cheap, Radioshack ray guns.

Clover would be interested in hanging around with Trilly, Stacy and Josee. She also likes to keep up on current events and politics so she'd be watching the coverage of what happened to see what is being said, and if there are any likely ramifications of the attack.
