ORNITHOPTERS!
Hmmm, I think that my eladrin artificer will soon be buying one of these; it would be a handy back-up for our airship campaign.
ORNITHOPTERS!
That's an awesome observation! So a tempest fighter can still use Tide of Iron? That's pretty cool.
Double swords don't give much to a rogue other than +1 to AC (from the defensive property), because they don't have any two-weapon fighting talents.I think it's lame how the double sword is strictly better than a rapier. Now rogues who want to use them will take a significant mechanical penalty.
Well Drek!
My wife is gonna desperately want to be a "Dwarven Defender" style tempest fighter with an Urgosh, as soon as we can figure out what the actual rules for applying the templates are. I guess we'll have to wait until November.
I mean, there's gotta be a downside, or penalty, or some sort of funnel for sticking the template on your fighter, or is there?
Can we just start test-driving the tempest/urgosh combo now?
You can do that with a double sword too, if you have Quick Draw. With a rapier, you can still wield a dagger in your other hand, for when you need that extra +1 to hit, or when you need a ranged weapon.
Here is a question. Would Eladrin get the Greatspear as part of their Elardrin Soldier feat? Unless it says it doesnt specifically I would say that it does.
