Our DM has ruled that because you blinded and you dont know who is now between you and the enemy due to combat changing(ie allies/enemies) you cannot attack using ranged weapons or powers because it would near impossible to shoot with other people in the way.
Ah, okay then.
In that case:
In your game, a blinded character/creature can't target a square or enemy when using ranged attacks.
In any other game, see PHB p281, "Targeting what you can't see".

Anyways the DM has his go and tried to attack me by guessing my square, would this be based on a % chance or the DM just picks a square?
He would use the rules for targeting what you can't see.
If you're having to hide your mini from the GM, your game might have larger problems than the confusing nature of the invisibility rules.
I also hide them from my kids, but thats another story.
I personally would prefer to use the RAW at least during the early stages of playing 4e...but im not DMing. To me this will effect more the monsters than players down the track.
Cheers
