It is still an interesting subject and very cool to see the make up of game groups.

Things that stood out were:

• Age ranges
• Length of time playing together
• How many people are in multiple games/groups
• Diverse professions
• Families gaming together
• How many women are gaming

His goal of the piece is to showcase a group of well-adjusted, family-oriented men and women with successful careers who found that playing D&D enriched their lives and encouraged their social, analytical and creative skills.

Interesting little fluff piece. Something that D&D could really use, a sort of "they're not all basement trolls!" kind of thing, wedded with a "Games give you skills!" kind of thing. Very cool.

How long has your group been playing together?
This particular group has been together about nine years; we formed from the remnants of two others to play the first inklings of 3E and we've been together since that point.

What are the ages, genders, and professions of the people in your group?
46, male, IT manager and programmer/analyst
38, female, IT server administrator
36, male, Doctor of Pharmacy and director of pharmacy at a local hospital

What edition are you playing?
Right now, we're starting a 3.5 campaign with possibly some Pathfinder add-ons; after that we'll go back to a Mutants and Masterminds campaign and after that, full Pathfinder. At this point, we will not be going to 4E; several of us have played it and feel we've given it a fair shake, but it's not our cup of tea.

For the last nine years, we've played some edition of d20 almost continuously with only brief detours to other systems.

The current group in its current incarnation? Then since February 2007

But, at least half the group is from one started in 2000, and it goes as far back as 1993 for one person in the group, and 1996 for two others.

Let's see. 28, 33, 34, 37, 37, 40, 41. Currently all dudes (much to my chagrin - past groups were more diverse in terms of gender), and as for professions. . . varies. . .

3.5 + some heavy homebrewing
