I got prison tats while in Azkaban

After a great deal of planning, I am going to get some tattoos. Along the inside of my left fore arm will be “Manus Umbra,” Latin for “hand of shadow” more or less. Along the inside of my right fore arm will be “Manus Lux lucis,” Latin for “hand of light” more or less. The Romans believed the right hand to be good and the left hand to be sinister and this association would go on to color many perceptions, including magic. I used the Theban font face, rather than traditional western letters.

If anyone asks, I gonna tell them I got prison tats when I did hard time at Azkaban.

You should have gotten one that saids "the hands of Fate." That would have been awesome.
The Master will not be pleased with your joke...

"Hand shining light"? My latin is very rusty, but I'm not sure "Manus Lux lucis" is quite what you want. To get the "of", you need to change "lux lucis" from the nominative to the genetive case.

I think genetive of umbra should be umbrae. But again, it's been a very long time.
