A few years ago...scratch that...ten years ago (wow time flies) me and some friends sat down at gen con to a new RPG...it was a pick up, and the whole set of rules were in a set of three ring binders...it was pretty cool, al be it awkward.
There is a point here...Anyway me and my friend were looking over pre gens, and I noticed no way to heal on mine, so I asked him...he had no idea, so we flipped through intill the DM/Creater sat down and we finaly asked him...his answer was "How do you heal in real life"...
It was a cool wild west game...but man...talk about low healing...it was more like no healing...

Clearly there’s only one thing to do. Start them out with games that don’t use hp.

A friend of mine says that Guantlet once ratted him out: “Elf has been getting all the food!”

I merely comment that the core of our Hobby comes from several main sources: one was miniatures wargaming, and one was from books and films. There were other core factors. I merely mention those two.

D&D is not a Video Game. A Video Game is not D&D.
This does not make either bad. Both are quite good, if you ask me.
They are merely different.

I believe the Young can be inspired to roleplay, to enter the Hobby as we know it. Just as I took up and loved Video Games, after playing D&D, they can take up D&D, after playing Video Games.

All they need to do is try.

Sure. I came from video games myself, back in 1988 or thereabouts.
