Weapon-based at-wills

I'm actually thinking of writing a blog post on weapon at wills...

Here's what I was thinking for polearms:

Warding Reach
At Will - Immediate Interrupt
Trigger: An enemy moves or shifts adjacent to you
Effect: Triggering enemy takes a -2 penalty to all attack rolls against you until the end of its turn.

My first thought on seeing this... seems weak.
My second thought: nevermind. That's actually quite powerful and interesting. :-) I'm assuming you'd use the melee basic attack of the polearm then for actual attacks.

Actually the way I'm going to be doing it is not modifying the system at all. Just make a feat for each weapon which gives access to that weapon's at-will.

I like this quite a bit. It would work wonderfully when coupled with the new Art of the Kill article, where you can unlock powers by spending a feat on superior weapons.
