Any problems in this game for a first time PbP player. Played plenty face-to-face, just first time online? Can I use races in the D&D wiki(Main Page - D&D Wiki), I thinking a Half-Dragon Kitsune, classes undecided. The kitsune is listed under 3.5 home brew. Since kitsune come from japanese mythology I would play it with a heavy oriental flavor. I will work up a character as soon as I hear on the kitsune.

Myth and Legend, some Minotaurs have entered into slavery via the "normal" routes (unable to pay a debt or committed a lesser crime) but generally minotaurs are what Thay considers non-citizens. They are not property like slaves, but they don't have the full rights of a Thay-born human either. So, if you want to go the slave-route, that's perfectly fine. :D

ethandrew, human bards are predominantly found in Azgund and Turen, so a human bard in Thay is most likely a visitor from one of those countries.

SiliconDragon, Welcome aboard! :D I must, however, insist that character options come only from the sources I listed in the first post of this thread. I'm nitpicky that way. ;)

I am working on:
Breeanalulia (Bree) Firewalker
Female Human (Emiran-Fire)
Monk 5/Assassin 1
Lawful Evil

Sorry about the double post earlier, my laptop is acting a little wonky.
Ok, I will play a Shifter Sorcerer/Dragon Disciple(copper).
I will post my character tomorrow.

Hmm.. having a bit of a problem now. THe human paragon is pretty cool, but the caster loss is a real kick-in-the-nuts for a 6th lvl sorc. Hmm, ponder-ponder.

Allright, I got it!
Replace Sorc with Warlock. :D

Hows this: Human Paragon 3, Warlock 2, Blood Magus 1

Background:

Personal Journal

Entry 1
Evan Butler's my name. Killing Wizards - well, that's my game. Or at least, it will be one day. Who needs a book filled with ancient scrawls when there's REAL power flowing in my very veins? It was the Rakshasa - thats right, the tiger-demons themselves - that gave me this blood, straight from the gods themselves (Or so I like to think - Humour me.), but they can't control us. Underestimated the power, and now me and the others, we're out there, and we're gunning for them.

Entry 5
I've learned a lot since I've been at the camp. They're turning us into weapons to take out the Thayans. There's a raid tonight, I've been selected, I can barely contain my excitement. Time to kill some red-robed, hide-bound, no-talent hacks.

Entry 6
They say I was nearly dead when they found me. Can't say if it was the priests who brought me back or my own stubborn will. Don't much care. What matters is I survived.

Entry 9
Have you ever just stopped and looked at your blood? It's remarkable. The power of life and death contained right here in a single scarlet pinprick.

Entry 10
I'm heading back. I don't care what Jaresh says, I'm ready. I've learned more than he thinks, I've unlocked a power he and the others don't seem to understand. I'm not like them.. I'm going in.

Entry 12
Damit, they've found me! Maybe I should've listened to Jaresh, stayed at the camp.. But it's too late now, they'll be here any minute, and I'm exhausted from all the fighting the last few days. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. All I can hope for is that this journal is found by my brothers, along with my 'cane'. I can't allow either to fall into the Wizards hands.

Edit: almost forgot, Evan's "Cane" that he'll be looking for when he gets out is an Adamantine, Mage-bane Mace.

Xoan

Here's the background for my PC, Xoan. He wouldn't actually tell any of his cell mates any of this, but I think this'll make the game more fun.

Xoan remembers life before Awakening, before the Touch, but it's unimportant. He used the same explanation others had used, that before it was like seeing in black and white, and after like color, but that's a lie. Not a malicious one, there's just no way to explain it to someone who isn't Touched. He could see and sense so much more now. He remembered competing to earn his awakening, and how that involved practicing body awareness. But now, Awakened, he knew himself so much better. Not simply on a crude, physical level. Now he could feel his personal energy flowing through himself. And control it. He moved it from one hand to another, to his head, to his feat. Then outside himself – to the air, to objects, to others.

Even more amazing, the One Mind had a purpose for his awakening. A task vital to It that he was assigned. It meant he had to leave the Awakened Lands. That was the first and only difficult thing he'd done Awakened – the Touch made so many things easier, trivial even.

Traveling through the closed lands wasn't hard, not in any real sense. It was confusing, though. Everyone in the Awakened Lands were of one purpose, working together in glorious harmony. Closed Lands were so different. It wasn't that he couldn't tell anyone what his mission was – he couldn't, but there was secrecy among the Awakened when it suited the One Mind. But he also couldn't say that he was on a mission for the One Mind, either. Though even if he had, it wouldn't have helped.

He tried lying. It was the easiest option, and less dangerous than fighting. It was also less successful than fighting. Much less, if he was to be honest. So there was plenty of fighting, too. And he was good at fighting. In fact, up until just recently he'd never really lost. Thay was organized, like the Awakened Lands. Full of magic, too. One of those was hard to beat. Both was, it turned out, impossible. And so now he was locked away with a bunch closed minds.

He'd been in worse situations though. And he was close, so close to his goal. He'd make it, of course. Success was the only option. Even if it means more lying.
