Revised Monk Available in Compendium

I'm a little disappointed by the Storm Pillar nerf. Sure, if you've got a Slide 4 power and hit the same guy 4 times using a single attack, yeah, kind of lame.

At the same time, that seems like it's kind of the point of having so many push/pull/slide techniques -- to force your enemies into locations that they really don't want to be in. As long as you leave it to once per character's turn, I don't see a problem. If the Rogue, Fighter, and Barbarian all want to wail on a bad guy and bounce him around next to the pillar, well... he should be roughed up that much more.

Yeah, it's basically pointless now.

I like that they're providing explanations for the updates now. I'd love it if they went through some of the old updates and did the same, but I can understand why they wouldn't.

Also, I'm glad they updated the formatting. For me, it makes it quite a bit easier to read than the wall of text they used to do. Plus, if I want to print it out, it looks nice.

There were some big changes; double weapons obviously, and Swordmage also stood out to me as they actually got a little beefier as defenders. I noticed Bloodclaw weapons and the Rod of Reaving (I think) as well. However, aside from the old updates, many of the updates here seemed to be clarifications of the wording. Most commonly, they seemed to deal with targeting and recursion to bring the powers/items back in line with RAI, instead of using RAW as cheese.

I think Illusory Wall suffered an errata regression: it started as an Encounter power, became a Daily, but now is back to an Encounter power. With a Sustain! Don't think that's correct...

Someone from WOTC posted on their message boards that it is just a formatting problem. It is still a daily.

Well, it's still useful to put on the hill of a king of the hill type of scenario, or to block off part of the battlefield. Then again, if you plow through whatever DM throws at you with no controlling, it definitely is pointless. So far, in my paragon campaign, even throwing encounters 4-5 levels higher than the PCs hasn't deterred them. Some controlling might make it easier, but it's far from necessary.

Arrgh. Armor of Faith no longer works with leather armor. There are going to be a lot of avengers out there (...possibly *all* of them...) that are going to be unhappy to hear that...

Wow my Avenger with the enchanted radiant ribbon armor feels altogether fine. Note I thought from the beginning either you have faith that the divine will protect or you turn to this clunky physical stuff .... not both.

Did the Cleric feats from Dragon 379 make it into this build? I read something about Battle Cleric Amaments feat, but I didn't see it on my player's updated CB.

Not to mention, cloth armor often have better enchantments than the AC-boosting armors. Robe of Contigency (iirc) lets you teleport and spend a healing surge when hit by an attack, as an immediate reaction 1/day!
