Good spell to cast via Miracle for my evil cleric?

What do you mean? The evil cleric is an NPC BBEG.

oops...yah...

I your opponent is 10th level (I think you said 10/11 level party), then I would use deep slumber, followed up by a finger of death spell...

THIS WAS A LOT COOLER WHEN I STILL THOUGHT THAT THE OPPONENT WAS ANOTHER PC. You could have surrendered, then used finger of death on her in her sleep for some sort of bonus and cool effect!

How about Invisibility, Greater? I don't know your players' capacity to detect invisible, but you can cast it, then fly in some direction and hopefully be well hidden.

Couldn't the cleric attempt to dispel the Paladin's ability to fly? Not sure if there's a legit spell under the level to do it, but that'd be one way to get the paladin out of her hair. Drop the Paladin like a rock, and remain flying overhead.

Actually, he said "since lv10". They are now lv18+ already (the part about the cleric using miracle should already have been a big tip-off). ;)

Yes, I had meant that since level 10 or 11 or so, the party has almost always made their critical saves in tough situations. I had a nice plan once of setting them up for both a mind flayer's mind blast and an evil cleric's greater command on a surprise round - I figured at least one PC, if not 2 or 3, would fail a save to one of those effects and be incapacitated somehow. After all, it's a large group of 7 PCs and it is 14 saves. But, no... nobody missed.

And, we make all of our rolls on the table, so it's not like somebody did it in secret behind their books.

That's always a possibility, too. And, she can just use a dispel magic and save her miracle for later.

And to give it the flavor of tyranny, have the priestess declare he doesn't have her permission to fly... ;)

Good one - I'm normally so focused on trying to come up with good actions for my bad guys and making sure I don't forget some feat/power/class ability/race ability that I can rarely think of good "villain-y" lines that makes the bad guys so memorable.

You know, like, "No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die," or, "I find your lack of faith disturbing," or "I ate his liver with some fava beans and chianti."

Yeah, that's what I was trying to suggest when I said:
Depending on how the Elf is flying, a Greater Dispel Magic might work rather well on items.

Heck if using Miracle for it, you could probably get a more vicious dispel from Spell Compendium.

One thing to note is, if Fly is dispelled, the subject slowly falls to the ground, he is not dropped like a rock.

Also, I have another offensive idea. If the Paladin is heavily buffed with spells, Reciprocal Gyre (SpC) is pretty sweet damage, and the save only halves it.
