Living the Unwritten history of the Medieval world (Medieval X-Files).

I like that to. An odd and ingenious period breeds plenty of uncanny possibilities.

Yeah, I was thinking one sentence for some reason, not ten words. I am looking forward to the ways in which PC's will creatively use their dwindling modern resources and pick up the native ones.

Nothing like modern, or even futuristic, folks coming to grips with their historical "inner-Frontiersman."

Anytime the untamed frontier gets poked and prodded, I'm for that. Within reason of course.

Fantasy heroes battle ancient high-tech mindflayer civilization awakening under desert.

A buddy of mine back in High School (man that was a long time ago) ran something very similar (he had a thing about Mind-Flayers, he both hated them and considered them horribly good monsters, and they were) for me and my party to work our way through. And it was weird, and spooky, and incredibly dangerous (in a gaming sense) and a lotta fun to play. Though it didn't take place in a desert, but on an island upon which a species of highly technologically advanced Space-Giants had settled after losing their ship. What we, the party didn't know, and the giants didn't know, is that their technology, which we initially mistook for magic, had been infiltrated by and conscripted by Mind-Flayers. Only after nearly wiping each other out did we come to realize we had a mutual and far more dangerous common enemy. And that enemy was building genetically enhanced chimera-monsters to kill us all. It was rough and gritty and harsh and lethal. A lot of us ended up being buried far from home.

If played right Mind-Flayers are terrifically vicious and cunning and clever and crafty enemies.
You can't ever truly trust what you're seeing, and everything is wheels within wheels within wheels with those guys.

One I'm planning:

Post-apocalyptic, heroic action fantasy: Eberron meets Dark Sun.

-or-

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann with magic.

Both under ten words!
