They errata'd dual strike to make the attacks have to be against different foes. It was too much like Twin Strike before. I'm thinking maybe predatory eye + charge? [/sblock]

[sblock=Finch's actions]Oh right, good catch R1. Hmm... yep, charge sounds good then. It looks like Finch has lots of multi-attack powers that don't really apply in this situation. They're great for marking separate foes, just not so useful against one big dragon.[/sblock]

Dorn is still in shock from Rrek's parting when the dragon appears and attacks. Dorn staggers from dragon's breath, his eyes unable to make sense of the swirling mass of sand around him.

"Is everyone ok?" Dorn shouts over the storm. Dorn hesitates, not wanting to harm himself in the sandstorm.Time to slow this beastie down, he thinks. He lobs a bolt of frozen energy near where he last saw the dragon, hoping it will explode into the beast Instinctively, Dorn calls forth a dark shroud, enclosing the area around him in protective cover

"This dragon is a different color than the ones we've fought before!" Ingot points out just before getting caught in the blast of hot sand. "Different breath weapon, too," it chokes out.

Fighting its way out of the scouring sands, the warforged circles around the dragon, muttering a prayer to Vulkar as it goes. It focuses for a moment, and the holy symbol on its chest rotates and clicks as its fullblade is covered with radiant light. Ingot chops with the blade, trying to penetrate the dragon's tough, armored hide, but the blow just misses.

Even as it follows through with the swing, its holy symbol rotates another half-turn. The "click" as it settles into place seems extra loud. Ingot pivots on a metal heal and whirls the blade with a quick motion. It seems like a clear miss... but the blade cuts the air in front of the dragon's chest with an echoing "CRRRAAACK"! The blast of air and sound slams into the dragon, battering it and throwing it back, where it lands awkwardly. As a finishing touch, acid sprays off the magic fullblade, burning into the beast's skin.

"Obviously you have not heard of our group," Ingot taunts the dragon. "We are considering taking the name 'Wyrmling Slayers'!"

Please let me know if you want to use that Healing Word[/sblock]

Jax raises an arm to shield his eyes from the intense sandstorm. He stumbles forward a few paces, knocking into Dorn as he goes, until he finally emerges into safety. In those few seconds of movement, a layer of molting scales was already torn from his hindquarters. Jax opens his eyes and sees that the dragon has changed his position - and is lying on his belly! Realizing the opportunity, the kobold scurries forward to the dragon and hacks away at its frontside.

After the attacks, Jax turns his head back to the sandstorm and calls out, "Crag! Its neck is wide open! Come help me!"

Feeling the stinging sands flow around him, Crag called on Terra for help against this dragon who lives in her element and is bent on destroying her champion and his companions.

Heeding his call, Terra's spiritual essence flowed through Crag. The stone from an icy mountain pass covered Crag's chassis and provided him with another layer of armor. Crag's blade hummed with power as Terra's spirit infused the warforged.

Circling around Jax and the Dragon in a hurry, Crag stabed downwards into the beasts back. Taking a cue from Jax, Crag twisted the longsord while it was still embedded in the dragon's flesh, causing the dragon's blood to pool at the site of the wound. As the blade was retracted, a giant hand of stone reached up from the ground and grabbed onto the dragon's body, keeping it close to the ground.

With the dragon firmly held by the fist of stone, Crag takes another hacking swing, this time at the beasts tail. The warden's enchanted blade slices deep into the muscle of the tail and shears off a mess of scales in the process. Another earthy coating flows onto Crag and hardens to a stone-like quality.

"I've got a hold of him guys! Get him while we can!"

Finch moves around and circles the foe, charging forward and burying his blade deep into the creatures left flank. It growls in anger

vs ac; dmg (1d20 13=32, 1d8 8=16, 1d6=3) wow... 19 dmg [/sblock]

The dragon looks around at the multitude of foes and begins chuckling "Wyrmling Slayers? Ha! I like the sound of that." it taunts then looks at Crag "You think you can contain the fury of the planes?" it asks, then it turns into a cloud of sand, roiling over the warden, then sliding south to envelop Jax, and finally sliding over to cover Ingot. All of you feel as if your flesh has been blasted with sand... again and this time the sand gets into your eyes, leaving you unable to see! The sandstorm coalesces just next to Ingot, but the creature doesn't want to damage these meals any more. He unleashes another gout of sand at Crag and Finch, hoping to remove these two from play and focus on the others, particularly Jax. Fortunately for the heroes, both of the defenders stand their ground and fight off the burning sand. The dragon curses in frustration, but then begins snapping its massive maw down, once on Ingot, taking a small chunk of the warforged, which it immediately spits out "*Blech* You taste terrible, time for some sweet meat" as it turns to Jax, but the kobold senses it coming somehow and just jumps out of the way.

More than any other kind of dragon, brown dragons are driven nearly as much by the desire to discover new tastes as by the need to accumulate a hoard. They so love eating that they sometimes take risks in combat merely to “sample” one or more of their foes. Thus, a brown dragon might take a bite instead of making a more tactically advantageous attack for the chance to taste an enemy, especially a creature it has not previously encountered.
Brown dragons prize elf flesh for its succulence and tenderness, and least prefer dwarves, whose tough meat they consider unpalatable unless it is aged

[sblock=Nature DC 20]
A brown dragon’s breath weapon is a blast of supernaturally hot and stinging sand that corrodes flesh and blocks all visibility

[sblock=Nature DC 25]
A brown dragon makes its lair under the sands, in a hollow within a ruin, a cave, or a similar structure. A lair can consist of several such chambers, each one an island of air surrounded by an ocean of smothering sand. A brown dragon doesn’t need tunnels—it can burrow between the rooms of its lair without difficulty.[/sblock][/sblock][/sblock]

*Feel free to post in any order, but actions will be resolved in initiative order below*

Dragon - uses Sand Cloud power (move) - shifts 6 squares, going through Crag, Jax & Ingot before getting to current location - you all take damage (1d6 4=10) 10 damage and are blinded (save ends) - standard - breath weapon - target Crag & Finch - vs fort (crag, Finch); dmg; CA advantage (1d20 7=15, 1d20 7=13, 2d8 3=12, 1d6=5) misses both of you, but the cloud remains. AP's and double attacks first Ingot then Jax. vs ac (incl. -2 for mark, 2 for CA); dmg; CA advantage (1d20 10=28, 1d6 5=10, 1d6=4, 1d20 10=18, 1d6 5=7, 1d6=6) 14 dmg on Ingot & 13 on Jax forgot -2 from prone.

The blast creates an area of swirling sand that remains in place until the end of the dragon's next turn. Any creature that starts its turn adjacent to the area or that moves through the area takes 5 damage. The area blocks line of sight for all creatures except the dragon.

Forgot to roll recharge for BW (breath weapon) last time - recharge (1d6=6) ok he recharges

recharge (BW); Recharge (t-port); save (1d6=4, 1d6=3, 1d20 5=6) fails to recharge either power and also fails save, still burning acidically...

Initiative:
Finch - 21
Jax - 20 - 18/32, blinded (save ends)
Dragon - 14 - ongoing 5 acid, prone (can't stand TENT (Crag) takes dmg if it does), used 1 AP
Dorn - 9 <- you're up 19/32; total concealment while in Shroud
Ingot - 8 - 13/37 -blinded (save ends)
Crag - 5 - 41/56 - Winter's Herald (+2 Fort), blinded (save ends)

init (Jax, Ingot, Crag, Dorn, Finch, dragon) (1d20 5=20, 1d20 0=8, 1d20 1=5, 1d20 8=9, 1d20 5=21, 1d20 7=14)[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Yes I want to use Healing Word... and was thinking so even before I read how much more damage Ingot would take. ;)

Healing word (1d6+3=9) Woot, max, so I think that puts ingot at 13? (was -5, HW returns 18 total)

Did the dragon's attack on Ingot and Jax trigger any reaction from whoever had him marked?

And dragon not bloodied yet?[/sblock]

I'd be good with -1 to hit, +1 dmg. Maybe if you succeed on DC 20 athletics I'd negate the penalty to hit, and on DC 25 give +2 damage (only on MBA's as part of a charge) [/sblock]

Yes, Crag had it marked so his Warden's Grasp activates the dragon can be slid 1 and is slowed/can't shift TENT. I figured you'd use HW. [/sblock]
