GURPS 4th Edition Online Game Thread

2. "Scout" ranged attacker with thieving skills. But it sounds like this might be changing. Can you give a hint about what you're thinking, Insight?

Based on some setting information, I am changing to another character idea. I can't reveal much about it (and I have in-game reasons for not revealing it right now), but I can tell everyone that it fills the "thief" sort of skill set and role. Decent melee combatant as well.

Before anyone can really go any further, I think you should all decide on the point limit of the adventure and we should I imagine take a head count and see if we have lost the good friar.
If we are currently sitting at 2 players I may take this thread to the RPtools forum instead of a traditionally d20 forum like EnWorld.....however such a change may preclude a change of game setting.

(I was under the impression that the dwarven paladin was scrapped....or i would not have made a sharpshooter dwarf....consider that npc to be dropped.)

I'm still here and I was hoping to still play the Muslim Dwarf Paladin. I was just away from the forum for the weekend.

Then we are still 3 and all is good.

-Dwarven assassin (pc)
-Thief type (pc)
-Monk or Yin/Yang healer (npc)

That's what I have so far.

(No word on agreed character point values yet but I am still thinking 300 points at least just to be on the safe side.)

I think that should be Dwarf Paladin.

Don't we have 3 people interested in playing? Does one of them not have a character concept?

GM, I PM-ed you my character concept. I have my character "done" and can send it to you. Do you have an email address or should I try to PM you the character?

I appologize, but I recieved a pm saying the dwarf was a hashashim...and that would mean he is an "assassin" from a secret ancient order and NOT a holy warrior as you describe.....unless I missed something in Banestorm.

You may post in thread for now unless there is specific cause not to share your character build with the other players....like you really want to play an antagonist rather than protagonist.

No, no, his name is Hashim which is arabic for crusher of breaker.

He is intended to be a paladin-esque figure trained in heavy armor, close combat, and with holy abilities like turning undead or healing.

I think the confusion is coming from my character actually being a Hashishin. My initial intention was to keep this a secret, but given the confusion thus far, I guess that's unnecessarily complicating things.

My character is 300 + 75 disads = 375pts (attached as PDF)

As a side note, friar, I think our characters might get along great!

Not necessarily since the Hashshashin were a sect of of a sect of Shia while my dwarf is Sunni from Al-Wazif. I actually just saw, in Banestorm, there is a term for Sunni Paladins, Kharijite.

On an unrelated note, I'm not a fan of taking so many disadvantages but I think I'll be at a disadvantage if I don't so I removed the link to my character sheet until I can beef it up a bit.
