"Let's find those kobold... and let's hope they won't attack on sight. Luckily, I know the draconic, so I will be able to speak with them probably, unless they don't speak that tongue or the common." tells Calisto, before getting up. "Georges, I would like something with chocolate and some port wine for the desert, once we come back with the ghoul."

Georges gives the group a fond adieu, promising that he will have the white port chilled and the dark at room temperature, as well as a special chocolate treat for those who return, somewhat ominously.

It is a marked change as one travels from the wealth and opulence of the Inner Harbor of Daunton and pass through the Commons, with the vendors conducting their business in the streets and at this early time of the day, serving the now-famous specialty roasted beaned beverages, including the latest rage, especially amongst those from the Inner Harbor, the Skinny Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha Latte. It is even a further deterioration of the landscape as one passes into the Overgrowth, previously you had seen well manicured lawns, being tended to by gnome or halfling servants, where here there were no lawns at all. Ruined buildings are a common sight in this district and you all know to keep a close hand on your coin purse as the lawlessness that pervades the area is common knowledge.

It will be quite the challenge to locate anything in this pandemonium...

J'ryi glances around until he spots a kobold. Striding over to the unknowing victim, he grabs the small lizard by the scruff of its shirt. The kobold yelps as the dragonborn heaves it into the air and brings it to eye level, three feet off the ground. He smiles menacingly at the smaller creature, before hissing in Draconic. "I heard you and your buddies found a nice place to check out some books under the island." J'ryi shakes the kobold for effect, and continues with a more serious glare. "And don't tell me you have no idea what I'm talking about - I know your kind all too well. You're at least acquainted with all the kobolds here, if not a member of their family."

Willow watches the kobold as J'ryi shakes it about. She notes it eyes, looking for subtle glances in one direction or another, or any other unintentional movements that may reveal the truth.

A kobold carrying a stack of firewood from the forest just outside the Overgrowth is thanked off his feet as the larger draconic creature picks him up. "Mep!" he exclaims as J'ryi can feel the kobold shaking as he pulls the citizen in close.

His eyes dart back and forth, looking for aid that doesn't materialize, however Willow notices that there is another kobold not far ahead in the crowded streets looking on with great attention, especially after the dragonborn's words. His scales are quite unusual for a kobold, they are of a sandy brown color, instead of their more reddish natural hue. As the kobold spots Willow looking at him, he darts back through the crowd.

By this point the one in J'ryi's grip has nearly fainted from fright.

So, there's one kobold grabbed and one fleeing.

"There!" Willow points to the fleeing kobold. "He knows the way!" As she gives chase, her lithe form seems to blur a bit, as if some of her has to catch up to the rest of her.

[sblock=OOC]Willow has a double move speed of 14 squares, 18 if she runs (though I don't like the vulnerability leftover from that, even if it is just a skill challenge).[/sblock]

Ghorgor is not nearly as fast a runner as the tiny lady. He takes a look at the fleeing kobold and tries to anticipate its flight path.

Insight (1d20+8=26)

The next roll will be an athletic check to climb over a house and intercept the kobold.

Calisto walk beside J'ryi and tells the the kobold in draconic. "Calm down. He might be tough, but he won't do any harm if you don't anger him. We are just here to find that library. A good contact of us spoke about it and I think you or one of your friend know about it. We are not here to bother you, what interest us, is to see who would inhabit in it and make sure they doesn't bother anyone else after that. And if you live near, that mean one less threat near your home. Isn't that positive for you?"

[SBLOCK=OOC]Diplomacy (1d20+12=14) Oh well... J<ryi have made a too good impression, and the good cop bad cop won't work.[/SBLOCK]
