Is the bit about the elf glaring at V a reference to his backstory? I have Start of Darkness but haven't read On the Origin of PC's yet.

V doesn't seem to have a backstory; the closest thing seems to be when she went nuclear on that black dragon, and we got to meet her family.

I didn't mean from the strips available online, I was wondering if it was in the prequel comic book "The Origin of PC's", the contents of which are not online (they reference the book explicitly when Haley was in Greysky City, the Thieves Guild leader breaks the 4th wall to plug the book since it had Haley's original background in Greysky and why she left originally). It has backstory for all the OotS members, and I know V has a backstory involving a catastrophic mistake with a researched custom spell, but I hadn't read it myself and was wondering if it was a reference to that.

I suspect it has something to do with his/her/its divorce and/or his/her/its going nuclear on the black dragons.

Yeah, I know. She gets about four squares of backstory--born, apprenticed, thrown out to experience the real world--and then a short Iron Mage parody that occurs four days short of the start of the comic and doesn't really count as backstory, IMO.
