What a big assumption you've made! Unfortunately for you, you soon realise that the most likely road leads directly out into the burning fields. That is, if there were a road.
That's unusual: there are no roads leading into the city at all! It itself has roads and street and all those wonderful things for transportation, but there is absolutely nothing outside the ring of crystal spheres and pillars that resembles a road - not even a long abandoned one.
Something is definitely wrong here. What do you do?
Cheers!
<OoC>this validates a number of things. A. Merric is allowing most any character expansions. Presumably, so long as they don't conflict with anything that's already been stated. B. the world has specific constraints, like the city, cave, and being surrounded by a field of fire.</OoC>
Brent swears as the truck bounces across the field to as close as he feels safe to the fire. "Looks like we're not going north guys."
Paul looking around, "I wonder if tthis city was transferred here as well?"
Ned sums it up "So we got two places to work from, the cave, and the city. Not counting those wierd pillars."
"I think we need more information. Can we drive a bit around the perimeter here? Maybe we'll spot something. After that, I reckon we need to go somewhere. I'm inclined to think the city may have a chance of having resources we could use.
While you drive, I'm going to zone out for a bit. I might see something different."
questions:
are we inside the ring of pillars, with the city (outside the city, of course).
Is the cave inside the ring of pillars?
Does the fire circle the ring of pillars?
How close to the pillar ring does it get?
there may be realities trailing ahead or behind us in time. Are there any adjacent that have noticeable and interesting differences? It's possible I may see the area before the blast, or an initiator reality that spawns the variants from the event that started our cross-over.
<OoC>I'm curious to see if using my Sight lets me see what I as a player can see in this forum, namely the experiences of the other players. Which is mostly harmless in that as a player, I'm already cognizant of it anyway, but it lets me bring that info into the game.</OoC>
Once I get my info, we'll try to drive up to the city and investigate.
