Which one looks best? Also, would I be better off using a different weapon, like daggers or a spiked chain?

Just an observation: wouldn't Santa's "elves" be more like gnomes or halflings than D&D elves?

watcha talkin bout willis? Elves are called elves for a reason. You ever hear of Santa's halflings? You ever hear of Santa's gnomes? NOPE. Gnomes are WAY too small to do anything worthwhile. Halflings? Seriously man, this is serious talk here.

Honestly, a drow artful dodger rogue or a drow thief will always beat an elven rogue of any variety. I say this because the drow rogue in our campaign is a DAMAGE DEALING MACHINE.

At around level 17 right now, our Drow Artful Dodger Daggermaster can continually drop damage on monsters. She will use racial powers to get CA, and she gets a crit roughly every third round (what with the fact that she has numerous attacks on minor actions, has a few encounter powers that trigger multiple attack rolls, and has a dagger master power that lets her crit on an 18, 19, or 20).

I can't remember exact numbers, but her crits seem to be in the 60 or 70+ points of damage field.

Mind you, our halfling rogue does a fair amount of damage as well, but the halfling is far less of a striker and more of a skirmisher. In terms of pure striker ability, the drow rogue wins.

Does this look better than the rogues?

It has +20 to attack melee and +21 to attack ranged on the powers with d8+12 damage. Does this look pretty good?

Now that I think about it, the drow ranger doesn't make much sense unless i have a whole bag of sweet +3 drow long blades to throw at people... would it make sense to rock the boomerang in the main hand and the long knife in the other or... should I just pick a different weapon?

woah woah.... if i throw magical weapons at things they come back to me?????? Where is that in the player handbook? I want to rub my jerk dm's face all in that when he challenges me having the knifes once again!

Thrown Weapons:
Any magic light thrown or heavy thrown weapon, from the lowly +1 shuriken to a +6 perfect hunter’s spear, automatically returns to its wielder’s hand after a ranged attack with the weapon is resolved.

And for what it is worth, I never liked the rule but it is clear as day.
