I like to have a couple of planned adventures that lend themselves to specific types of characters ready to go. Normally it is a few short encounters, some combat, some rp, some skill challenges.
For instance, I planned one for a gnome rogue that had to recover a very valuable flute that someone stole from his grandmother. It was short and the player loved it. He liked the character as well.
My group is only me, my girlfriend and my best friend. Sometimes we have another friend join in, and the players don't like giving people characters of high level, since they didn't earn it in play. So we do one shot adventures on those nights.
So we have finally played through the ones I have made and I want to hear some of your ideas for short, easy one shot adventures. The basis of the campaign world is that nothing on the campaign world is created until it is used in game. We don't know what the world looks, there are no cities or towns, only small villages. There was a cataclysm 2 years ago. So throw some ideas out, and help flesh out the campaign world!
