Legends and Lore: you get one action...

Once again, I'm not really liking Monte's direction here, but the discussion in this thread is quite interesting :)
Maybe that's the point? Perhaps the column isn't just a soapbox, maybe the D&D community is being used in a sense. Monte can toss out a theoretical idea that hasn't been playtested, listen to the brainstorming commotion, and discover some of the perceived obstacles to implementing that idea. And isn't that exactly what people were asking for, to be involved more with these columns? If so, we got exactly what we asked for :)

Oh ya, also...

LurkAway's Legend and Lore: What can you do (on Enworld)?

I propose that, on Enworld, you may only have 1 thread at a time on the same topic.

That is, you do not get a 2nd 'New Thread' action if someone has recently done the same 'New Thread' action on a different subforum.

Also, this is not a 4E thread at all. Why are you trying to making everything about 4E, huh? There are other numbers out there, like 3 and 5, that go together with the letter E brought to you by WoTC.

Please proceed to the General RPG version of this thread now

* I am not a mod. You have the right to ignore me, but if you do, and if I remember your alias (my memory for aliases isn't what it used to be, you might get lucky), then shudder at the knowledge that I shall think twice before giving you any of my xp in the near future before I forget!!!!

LurkAway, an interesting thing: There have been two separate threads on every L&L topic, one here and one in general. I've read every post in every one of them, and participated in most. The interesting thing is that they almost always develop differently. I don't mean that different people say slightly different things. Rather, the topics tend to go in totally different directions. I recall two exceptions, where there was a parallel discussion, this topic being one of them. Make of that whatever you want. :D

That IS interesting, but since you posted that here and not on the other thread, I must be like the soup nazi: "No xp for you!" sorry :)

Eh, I think there are many of us who haven't the time and energy to follow multiple threads on the same subject either. Since the people with good 4e knowledge tend to post in the 4e forum I tend to follow the threads here.
