Even Newer(er) Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

Nathantiel Xiloscient

An elf in studded leather armor enters the inn. He walks with an ornate staff, but doesn't seem to need it for moving. On his side is a sandy-brown/gold pelted dog.
His equipment looks like he traveled for quite some time and his equipment has the typical ornamentations common for elven items.

"Nathantiel, just a thirsty wanderer..."

[sblock=OOC]Nathantiel Xiloscient

The dirt mound crumbles into Earth's shape, that with a heavy stomp rises to his height. Mortar and dirt falling from his body, the warforged slowly walks over to the other forged, the twisted one, bent by the undead to do their biding. He had been watching him. Learning. Assessing if he was a threat to nature that was to be disposed, returned to the core, or a victim of circumstances. For what he heard, and almost knowing the creature was not lying, Earth had reached a conclusion. The hulking golem approaches Kruor and places a heavy rocky hand on his shoulder. Pieces of loose dirt fall from it on the table.
The voice comes from inside the earthen construct, as booming as a rockslide. Only Kruor can hear it, echoing in his mind. "You are dangerous for the ones around you. You are a void of life. You need to learn, or leave the living. I can teach you." in a flash of memory, Earth transmits his memories to Kruor, his past life as Battleram, his destruction and rebirth. All that was stored in Earth memory core is shared with the vampiric warforged. Earth hopes that it would enlighten him, it would help him became a force for the balance, and not to succumb to the undead side of him. After that, Earth lifts his hand, and lumbers towards the lizardfolk priestess.
"The unnatural plagues bring unbalance to the land, such violation of nature must be cleansed. I'm the instrument of Nature, and will bring life to your people, and oblivion to the defilers."

No reaction to this?

How intense! Toeto can't help but think about the golem.
"U-um, I'm sorry, but I have as many people as I can take. I appreciate the o-offer."

Toeto nods to the others and excuses herself from the tavern.

OOC: I missed that you were talking to Toeto at the end. I thought you were speaking to Kruor the whole time, heh.

Can't wait to leave this place dears, it reminds me too much of Ravenloft, the old women says following Toeto to the docks.

OOC: Just a reminder that protector druids won't be approved until the 15th. It is no problem if you want to roleplay in the tavern or get your sheet ready, but you'll want to wait until then to put him up from approval. :)

OOC: I'm still thinking how Kruor would react. Possibly he just needs time to decrypt these new memories, because...well he doesn't share your type of memory core...or something...(yeah that's good, he needs something to do while sitting there)

"My pack is just over there." he tells pointing his backpack at another table. "I think it even still stink the sewer. I'll be there tomorrow morning, I'll go cleans my things." on that Jarel-karn leave the place.

OOC: Well, I fully intended to run off the help her. I just wanted to wait for you to react :< Hmm, I think Kruor will probably run off into a corner to cry...or something to that extent. I'm aware that all this hate is (hopefully :P) IC reaction. Now my choices include uhm, running off, malfunctioning and "shutting down" or...uh...apologizing?

"Me sorry! It was eks...eksid...accideeent..." Kruor's eyes flashing yellow, then red. "IT NOT ME WANT, ME NO WANT THIS."
Then grey "It just...it just me not used to body. When me given choice, when me given...mind, me like new. New soul, no memory but of death. Before me given choice, me had no choice. But killing done by something else, it evil but...smarter."

Kruor tilts his head down "Me know me not smart...maybe better if me give up choice..."

"But then it me who choose no kill good, kind people. Many people peaceful, but the evil kill them many. It make me sad, so me run."

Noticeably, the robot has stopped referring to himself as Kruor. "If me no can have name, then me earn it. Me show me no bad. Me just...stupid."

And with that, the robot sits back down. This time The Cursed One no longer his companion, yet the drink before was still there, only it's contents were now much more...red. Kruor looked at it longingly, yet dares not move his arms anymore, which he has sheathed back under his cloak.

OOC: I suppose that Kruor will just sit there, and wait till his ears pick something up. And go for it, to prove his worth (all the better if The Cursed One is with him ^^)
EDIT:Wait, I have no ears.
EDIT2: Funny how Kruor was going to drink from the woman serving him his drink.

Kamotz equips his shield and draws a triple headed mace, the look on his face is no longer friendly. Not good enough. the shifter growls at the monster.

Whiggins, the dire-wolf, stands and growls as well; knocking over a table in the process. Whiggins gives a feint snap at Damen, triggered by his uneasy passing. The shifter's scent washes over the Cursed One and Kruor, a heavy corpse-rot, bonedust, earth and canine mixture. Whiggins breath could be felt they were so close, We're going to go heal her, and you're going to apologize to her. Then we're going to the Temple to ask for penance. Kamotz looks on the edge of striking Kruor, shaking his head for a moment to clear his thoughts, If we weren't in this place, you'd already be dead.

Kamotz barks MOVE! and Kruor feels the divine imperative behind the words, a punishment awaited if he had another "accident". Kamotz nods to the bartender, in deference.

OOC: Standard to equip shield Minor to draw flail Minor to Divine Challenge Kruor.

The door open and a skinny Eladrin in a well decorated armor enter the place. He wears a shield on his back and a longsword at his belt. He seems to wear something that looks like a uniform of the milice, but all the badge, ranks and other identification have been removed, except one medal at his chest. He seems to be overburden by all the equipment he is wearing.

He stares around and look at the bareman. "Is it here that adventurer and sellsword find jobs?"

The barman look at the eladrin. "Yes, but only if you name yourself outloud."

"My name is Eloan." he then enter the place and sit down. He asks for a mug and then drink half of it. Quickly his face become red. It seems he doesn't stand that much the alcohol. "I'll show to all of them what I can make!"

[SBLOCK=OOC]Eloan, Eladrin Warlord lvl 6. Character that replace my bard.[/SBLOCK]

"Death is a penitence that should not be idly placed upon beings. There is no coming back. I'll watch my thoughts holy man, unless you want to fall." advises the wise mountain being.
