Another good episode with a very interesting plot twist at the end. I really hope that FOX renews this show, as it is one of the best written and inventive shows on television.

The twist to this episode is a great example of why I love this show.

We've seen numerous ways this season how people can be replaced - shapeshifters, alternates - and yet Nina being evil was a great reveal. Blue-Nina being morally bankrupt was something that was entirely probably based on her character.

Also, any other show would have dragged Olivia remembering out - Fringe just makes it happen and rolls with it. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Fringe excels at the whole "mystery" thing in a way most shows don't because the answer to the mystery isn't the point. What drives the narrative is the "what now," the follow-through, the reaction to the answer.

So what exactly did happen the last 5 minutes? Is the wrong Olivia a clone?
And what about Nina? Argh! Please sort this out for me.

I'm not sure what you mean about the wrong Olivia.

My theory:
A little background on why I've come up with what I think happened in the last 5 minutes. When Peter activated the machine at the end of last season, he disappeared and it reset the two universes. We're not in two new universes but dealing with the worlds as if Peter died as a child in both. I think the changes to both Walter's and Olivia's lives can be attributed to this.

Because the observer never erased Peter completely from the timeline, it's starting to have ripples in the universes. Either because of the cortexiphan or because the two were close (or a combo of the two), Olivia has recovered her memories from the pre-machine universe(s).

I originally thought that the cortexiphan reawakened Olivia's abilities and she accidentally crossed over to Walternate's universe but, based on the fact she was being held as a prisoner and a preview I saw for next week's episode , I think she might have been grabbed by [sblock]David Jones[/sblock].

I was under the impression that this is a timeline where not "the Olivia he know and love" is present, but rather an Olivia that don´t know the Observers by their real name.
One strange thing is the Observer in this episode; at 41:44 - when Peter enters the gas station - you can clearly see an Observer walking by the window. Peter must have seen him, and yet no reaction. Perhaps he stood there when Olivia entered, but that´s just speculation.
