I'm pretty flexible with rolling with whatever happens. (i'll pacl some extra Cthulhu options for the day.)

While I like the Roman Era/Invictus setting, I was afraid that it might not be a HUGE draw, though I find "Swords and Sandals" setting a fun departure from "Standard" CoC. (My gerular gaming group actually doesn't care for Cthulhu, but they enjoyed the Invictus scenarios.)

I know that many CoC gamers like the "Jazz Age" type scenarios, so if that will entice people to play, so though I really like the "Ripples from Carcosa" scenarios, I'm OK with switching the scenario I run to do the Jazz Age instead.

Or, if all else fails, I could be folded into another game if needed. :)

GMs, can you please let me know what your needs are for table surfaces? - Those will tend to determine spaces. These are the options we have at hand, and can arrange for folding tables, if needed:

Dining Room: large DR table with battlemat

Middle Parlor: smaller DR table

Front Parlor: coffee table (rectangular)

Library: coffee table (oval)

I'm rewriting the driving and public transit directions now; they've revamped a couple of intersections since they were written. I'll post them by Thursday evening.

This is gonna be fun!

On the thread of what we need...

There's discussion about bringing food. What sort of food should we bring? Actual meal items, or snacky bits? I'll be hauling these things the entire length of the Red Line, plus a bit, so I need to plan in advance (plus...totally forgot that it's outage week...yay working until 1am Friday night!)

Also...um...what dice should I bring? I can just chuck my Big Ol' Bag O' Dice (tm) in my backpack, but it's probably overkill (why, yes I'm pondering purchasing a second Pound O' Dice..why do you ask?)

Anything else that the GMs would like players to have?

Looking forward to Saturday! I haven't sat face to face with everyone at the table in probably 3-4 years, maybe longer, and it's been a year or two since I've had a game where at least ONE other person was in the room and not an ethereal voice from the Internet.

I just checked your games: Night's Black Agents (uses d6s) and Marvel SAGA (uses unique cards). Amusingly, that means you need exactly 1d6. Hell, throw two in your pocket in case you lose one. :D

Food:

There's a local pizza place that people can order lunch from, and if the weather is nice I may take a straw poll here and barbecue the day before, then have people who are interested throw me cash in exchange for brisket or pulled pork. Not sure yet. Either way, I'd say you're fine bringing something snacky. Options: drinks, a box of munchkins from Dunkies, baby carrots, big bag of pretzels, etc.

Wait, let's ask right now. If you're interested in throwing in $8 or so to cover smoked brisket or pork, store-bought cornbread, and potato salad, please leave a short post or give XP to someone else's BBQ post in this thread. Assuming the weather behaves, I'll plan quantities accordingly.
