This image does not resemble any woman I have ever seen.

She looks like Kim Kardashian with blue contacts in blackface.

Intriguing, but not realistic. Certainly not inclusive.

You need to expand your horizons.

Korra reminds me a lot of Brazilian actress Ildi Silva.

I DM a group of male players who all happen to play tough female Characters. Here's art one of them commissioned for their character:

I think that's a very appropriate style for a character. She's still visually attractive, but not in an overtly sexual manner.

Balsamic Dragon how is Korra drawn any differently than jshaft37's, except that it is anime?
Yes, she has muscles, curves and looks like a real person but most GOOD pictures of women in dnd do.

And as for the "but more muscles comment", that is because she is an animated character :p I dont see what that has to do with Ildi Silva. Perhaps it is the medium as opposed to the "person" depicted to which you are referring.

I'm not saying you are WRONG or that we need another example, I just think you are off. I don't see how it is DIFFERENT from other examples.

Libramarian she does NOT look like kim kardashian in any way, the anime girl is actually attractive - hey-oh! But seriously, no she doesn't really look like her.

Klaus where's her blue eyes :p

jshaft37 yes, thank you, that is exactly right. It even goes to show, skin colour and eye colour are not the defining characteristics.

Player character art is a bit of a different cup of tea, and should cater to what that specific player wants, as opposed to a diverse selection of art for the whole game. But yes, there's nothing wrong with balancing sexuality and functionality, though it should be a range across art. Not every image should be 50% sexual, 50% functional(that would be boring), but we should be able to come to roughly that when looking at all the art across the edition.

I was just putting forward what I thought was a well done example. I also found it important to note this is a Male Player describing a Female PC. I think it shows a maturity among the player base for something more than overt sexuality. The PC's in my game think of themselves as ass-kicking adventurers first and Females second, and I think that's a good way to look at it.
