Converting Epic Level Creatures

Do we still feel like we need that? It seems like a bit of a stretch. On the other hand, adding mind blank or a similar anti-divination spell to the SLA list wouldn't be bad.

That'd be OK by me.

He's already immune to mind-affecting powers already, but I guess it'd be handy having immunity to information-gathering divinations too.

How about giving him detect scrying and false vision instead of or in addition to mind blank, so he can choose to send "horrible images" to folk who spy on him magically?

Detect scrying and false vision are good. You're right that mind blank would be a bit superfluous.

So if we add those two SLAs, can we drop divination darkness and the rest of the red ?s?

The suggestion "unholy aura or magic circle against good or unhallow?" all seem a bit redundant with Aura of Desecration, at least thematically.

How about cutting the mage's disjunction? It seems a bit surplus to requirements.

I'm OK cutting the unholy aura and magic circle vs good but would like to keep the unhallow, since it allows it to "profane" an area and move on.

Since the Dark King is a pan dimensional being he ought to be able to travel interdimensionally, so we need to keep the plane shift.

I could do a few additional X/day abilities. A legend lore would not unduly increase his combat abilities. How about gate for the other one?

He doesn't really need dimensional lock and dimensional anchor. I'd get rid of one of them. Probably the anchor.

That'd make it:

At will—greater arcane sight, detect scrying, greater dispel magic, false vision, plane shift, prying eyes, greater teleport, true seeing, unhallow.
X/day—dimensional lock, gate, legend lore, screen.
 

Sure, that's a good enough list for me. Want to go 1/day or 3/day on those? 1/day might be a little more interesting tactically.
 




I guess we should do skills and feats next, but that feels a bit intimidating. Let's take a hack at the skills. I guess I'd go for max ranks to keep things simple.

Concentration, Intimidate, Knowledge (religion), Knowledge (the planes), Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, ???

Maybe Diplomacy for dealing with cultists? Any other thoughts?
