Do we know there will be CR 1/2 monsters?

If there aren't, fifth level clerics will be unhappy - they get to destroy CR 1/2 undead!

I assume that was on the cleric sheet. I haven't seen it yet.

I guess explains why they are using fractional CRs.

Can't tell what his AC is in hide armor. Looks like 11, which could imply a size penalty concept being added to the game.

Quite. Also, if being big makes you easier to hit, then reflect this through a DEX penalty (which is what they seem to have done).

"Challenge Rating" is just "Monster Level" with the name changed to allow for fractional values. It bears very little relation to CR in 3e.

Yes. Mike Mearls stated that the HPs for monsters would be going up in the final version. As mentioned previously, up to the latest public playtest package, the Math on monsters wasn't especially refined.
