Wow - it wasn't until just this moment that I realized that its name is just a funny way to pronounce "bullet" - because it's a bullet-shaped, bullet-color monster that shoots at you. Wow. I had completely missed that somehow. So obvious now. :)

Man, it's amazing how far your young mind will go to rationalize that the authors weren't just being lazy. :)

I'm actually pretty sure that the mangled Franglish boo-lay pronunciation came from folks who thought naming the bullet-shaped, bullet-colored monster that rams you a "bullet" was just too silly. And that "land shark" was sillier still.

I've always liked "land shark" because there's nothing like a nice round of "Candygram" jokes right before you beat the PCs to a bloody pulp to get everyone's spirits up :)

A bulette loves halfling meat the most, and is never happier than when chasing plump halflings across an open field."

I really do not see why this creature has a 5 Charisma. I mean, who wouldn't love hunting down plump halflings.

That's some meaty damage for a CR 5...30 is enough to take out pretty much every character in 2 hits...and those wizards and lower con rogues in 1.

And yet one more reason not to play a halfling. Good to see the game unafraid to screw someone over for arbitrary factors.:] No, I'm not picking on you, this monster loves to eat halflings.

Low Charisma makes it easier to Confuse if the spell uses the same save as an umberhulk's eyes.

But we have moved from a 4E defualt of 8 rounds to 3 in 5E? (actually that might be another thread)
